This was a very poor dining experience. The restaruant has great views on the spit, but the food was terrible, REALLY. The fry grease used to deep fry the french fries, chicken and halibut which we ordered was very old and on the verge of rancid. What should have been a light colored halibut fish and chips was a dark brown. The after taste from the bad grease was bitter and I could not eat my meal. Speaking to that, the Szechuan chicken was terrible and tasted like sweet and sour chicken. The owner tried to tell me that it was Szechuan, but it was cleary not. I took it to go and let several friends blind taste it, they all said sweet and sour. There was no chili peppers or spice to it at all. The only thing that was just ok was the cheeseburgers that two of my girls had. Overall this was a tremendous waste of money. I will not patronize this establishment again. Do yourself a favor if you are in Homer and avoid "The Happy Face".
