We were married in Magnolias 11 years ago (1999).
It was great- food was great everything worked out fine.
We recently went back on our anniversary; Ordered appetitesirs in bar (chicken tempura)-terrible-some sort of fried chicken---
Dinner started out fine--soup/salad were excellent-fresh bread BUT we waited interminably for main course--it took over an hour and half to come with no explanation--just you are next--no offer for comps drinks or dessert--just served-we will admit the food was good though, but of course waiting so long we are running up our bar tab and have no desire for dessert. It makes you feel like you are trapped there.
Their service has declined and I cannot recommend
anyone go there-because of the long wait.

My family went to magnolias on Fathers Day for Brunch this year, it was really good. A different kind of Brunch menu...plus some large entrees were offered as specials. My dad had Filet Mignon topped with crabmeat & a mushroom sauce, he loved it. And I had Shrimp Wellington from the regular Brunch Menu. that was pretty good. They had live Music during Brunch--a jazz soloist---he was AMAZING! we're heading back next month just to see him again! I think I'll get the French Toast next time, though.

My girlfriends & I went to Magnolias last night, my friend is on their email list & told us about the $8. Seafood specials they have on Wednesday nights! I just wanted to say, we were pleasantly surprised. We had a good time and didn't spend too much. I had a Soft Shell Crab sandwich...it was tasty!

OVERALL, PRETTY GOOD. TOOK MY GIRLFRIEND OUT THERE BEFORE THE MOVIES....IS IT "MAGNOLIAS" OR "MAGNOLIAS VINEYARD"? WHATEVER, NONETHELESS, IT WAS NOT EXPENSIVE, WE ORDERED $5 HAPPY HOUR APPETIZERS THAT FILLED US UP, OUR WAITRESS GOT A LITTLE BUSY, BUT THE MANAGER WOULD CLEAR & BRING US NEW DRINKS. SO, WORKS FOR ME!

I enjoy dining at Magnolia's. I moved into the Lehigh Valley three years ago and I consider Magnolias the absolute best place to take friends, clients and family. The food is always great and the atmosphere is amazing as well. The live music, great service, mouth watering food and themed parties are what really creates the fun and flirty vibe for me.

Wow! My fiance and I were shocked to read some of these reviews! We went to what our Friends call "Mags just last week and it was awesome! We didn't realize it changed owners, but that explains the non-stuffiness and the low prices! We enjoyed a full dinner for 2, appetizers, salads, dinner, we shared a dessert, had a few drinks for less than a 100 bucks! we could have easily gotten away with less, there was some entrees only $14. or so! And they had live music in the lounge..that's where we headed after dinner! Now, maybe the previous comments are from an older generation, but I went to Magnolias for my Prom in 1993...and it seems to have changed with he times. Much more relaxed than I remember! Weird, things people say!

Friends took my boyfriend and I to Magnolias last weekend, we found the menu affordable and delicious! Light summer items really hit the spot! Our service was great...would def reccomend to others! We will be returning!

The restaurant was sold a couple of years ago. The former owners sold it to their daughter. This was a shining star for such a long time, so sad to see that the younger generation hasn't maintained the same standards.

I was very disappointed in the service and food at Magnolias especially in view of the fact that it was early in the evening and there was only one other table of diners. Our entrees were overcooked and the seafood dish tasted old. After commenting on the sandy, gritty scallops we were ignored by our waitress for the remainder of the evening. One of the worst dining experiences I've had in years!

Our family had dined at Magnolia's on several occasions over the last three years or so and had always enjoyed it immensely - THAT IS, UNTIL THE LAST TIME (ca. the summer of 2009)! This place has really declined in quality!! The menu is far more truncated than in the past. That I could live with given the current economic situation. Still, that is no excuse for both the poor quality of the service and the food we had to endure. The waitress was undeniably courteous and professional, but the service was excruciatingly slow. It took them nearly a half hour just to put bread on the table; a circumstance made even more unpleasant but the frigid temperature in the dining room. That set the tone for the snail-like service we experienced for the rest of the evening. And as for the food itself, it was a severe disappointment in comparison to the fine cuisine we've enjoyed there previously. My appetizer was small, dry and very harsh to the taste. My prime rib was supposed to be meidum rare but came out just one step from being alive. The only reason I didn't send it back was that I didn't want to wait another "eternity" for another. Another family member had a chicken-and-dried-tomato dish which featured two large hunks of breast unbearably dry and utterly tasteless, one that didn't go very well with the tomato complement, either! But even that was preferable to the slimy and smelly - one could almost say rancid! - seafood pasta dish another of our party ordered. Only the ridiculously small portions of shrimp and mussels featured in it brought some comic relief to a dish that was so bad that my family member could only take a few bites out of fear that it would make them physically ill to have more! Magnolia's has always been "pricey," and that's the one thing that hasn't changed. But of course, it is one thing to pay top dollar for top cuisine and service; quite another to have to shell-out the kind of bucks we did for what we received that night. We used to look forward to going there. Now, I seriously doubt we ever will, again. MAGNOLIA'S, WHAT ON EARTH HAS HAPPENED TO YOU??!!!
