My wife and I went there for dinner on Saturday night and it was amazing. The carbonara was the best I have ever had, my wife's beef short rib was "succulent" and those were just the appetizers!!!The drinks were top shelf and the the young lady who served us was gracious and professional.

I've gone to Carmelina's for many years but the past year has discouraged me from returning. Recently they lost their chef. I always order linguini with clams and red sauce and it has always been incredible, not anymore. The sauce was heavy, thick and chunky, without much flavor. My waiter suggested that I mention it to the owner, who was patronizing and dismissive. This same owner was abusive and possibly racist toward a very charming hostess who worked there last year. I saw her in tears out in the parking lot and she told me her story, which I believe. No more Carmelina's for me! It's not what it used to be!

After many years of enjoying some of the best dinning experiences of our lives, the change in management at Carmelina's has broken through. Starting with our drinks, 3 out of 4 of us ordered a margaritas from the page in the menu exclusively dedicated to these signature cocktails. One of the glasses had a marble sized chip on the rim of the glass and the drinks tasted like sugar water. We returned all of them and settled for some wine instead. The "favorite selection of house specialties" Chicken Catalina reminded me of what baby food tastes like prior to being pureed. No WOW factor here anymore. We noticed the manager having to make at least two trips to diners to correct or apologize for unsatisfactory meals. This restaurant is no longer on my list of favorite restaurants. We won't be back.
