I've only ordered takeout at Packards, but I've always enjoyed the food. Excellent burgers, and great spicy fries!

Good food, decent price, has BBC draft. Only thing missing is Packards is NOT within the idine network:(

I have been there twice, and each time I liked it: good food, a really fine welcome, and not too expensive. If you're looking for pub food, and a friendly atmosphere, with good beer, then its just fine. The whole thing fits into a cool town, as relaxed as you like. For those unhappy, don't go again.

WORST MEAL EVER ! SOUP WAS COLD SALAD WAS TINY AND WAY OVER PRICED AND THE NACHOS WERE COLD WITH CHEESE IN THE MIDDLE THAT WASNT MELTED AND NO VEGGIES IN THE MIDDLE ONLY ON THE TOP
ALL COMPLAINTS ASIDE WHEN WE ASKED FOR $2.00 OFF OF THE BILL WE WERE TOLD THEY DONT DO THAT WHEN YOU EAT ALL THE FOOD. WHEN I SAID I DIDNT EAT ALL MY NACHOS THE MANAGER SAID DO YOU WANT THEM BACK? NASTY ATTITUDES AND I WOULD RECOMMEND PASSING ON THIS PLACE !

People are always great.Just did take out today! two Burgers were 18$. Seams a little bit high for just a burger. It is however a huge burger! I asked for it med- rare and it is well done. Why ask how I wan it done if you aren't going to cook it that way.

First let me say that I have been to Packards twice now and they have one of the best Burgers and Burger selection around. I rate food by what a place serves and Packards serves some of the best pub/bar food; hence the 9. They also have a very nice selection of beer on tap. So far, I have yet to go wrong on food choice. The Dragon Fries, chili cheese fries, are great (not soggy like many places). The the basic potatoes from the potato clan choices are awesome as well. The first time I went I would give the service an 8, but the 6 is mostly from my second visit. My biggest service complaint is our order was messed up twice on the same plating (unsure if this was from waitress communication or whoever plated it). Other than that, I'd like to see a visual or descriptive reference for their idea of Rare, Medium Rare, Medium, Done, and well done; which have been a little hit or miss with everyone's burger; again not sure if this is from miscommunication, cooks interpretation isn't gelling with our interpretation of styles of cooking meat, or they have a little difficulty cooking to one's preference. All in all not a big deal, the burgers are always close to what we want (little bit rarer or more done depending on choice). I suggest ordering a little more rarer than you usually would at a restaurant (it was spot on when we did this the second visit) and if it isn't cooked enough they can throw it back on (inconvenience beats out inedible overcooked). Value is Very very good I only award 9-10s for mind-blowing steals. Atmosphere is nice you can sit at the bar area or in booths. The bathrooms were clean and very nice if you like diamond plate hee hee. You can choose to sit where you can watch the Red Sox or out of TV view for good conversation. I recommend Packards and will be revisiting many times to come.
