This is the restaurant my wife and I go to in Northampton if we want a lovely, tasty, relaxed, somewhat special meal. It is one block off Main Street, so some people don't know of it. <br />
The restaurant is relatively small and intimate. Attention to decor over the last couple of years has made it feel more like a fine dining establishment. <br />
The food has alweay been 5-star. Flavorful, large portions, attractively presented, though a relatively restricted menu. Service is very good but on very busy night can slow down. Reservations recommended for Thurs - Sat. <br />
I'd give it 4.5 stars, but there's nothing better in the area.

I’d been by this restaurant several times and thought it looked nice. But I recently brought a date there and thought it was terrible. The service was awful. We sat and waited a long time before anybody came and asked if we wanted a drink, and they never brought bread or anything else to the table before or after taking our orders. The food, which seemed to take forever top get to us, and was expensive with small portions, was not all good. My date’s pasta dish was salty and she didn’t eat most of it. I would never go back!
