The real deal. Baklava chocolate coated, and chocolate drizzled. A GREAT GREEK BAKERY.

Awesome. I am so happy to find this bakery. Everything looked so tempting. The napoleons we bought were delicious.

I have been searching for Italian Rum Cream Cake in Atlanta. My search came to an end when I heard about Zukerino Pastry Shop in Dunwoody. This is a new addition to Atlanta market and I consider them one of the best pastry Shop’s in Atlanta. One of the things that is so special about them, is that they are very friendly and willing to do whatever you want. Theo is the pastry Chef and I asked him about the Italian Rum cake. For those that have visited the Northeast, it is basically a lightly rum flavored infused sponge cake, with one layer of Italian chocolate cream and one layer of Italian vanilla cream. It is then topped with real whipped cream with shaved almonds or strawberries or cherries. Theo made one for me this past week and it is as good as anything I have ever tasted in the Philadelphia area. Theo also has a Coconut Cake made with real cream and fresh coconut shavings. This is the best Coconut cake I have ever had. Of course they have a complete variety of pastries and cakes.
You owe it to yourself to stop by and visit Zukerino Pastries in Dunwoody. The owners Theo and Soula are wonderful people. They are in a little hidden building on Cotillion Drive and N. Peachtree Road. Well worth the trip. For all the Italians or people from the north who remember the Italian Rum cakes, this is the place to go!!
