Dragon Express has a wide selection of Chinese-American standards, all prepared well and quickly, primarily for carry out. It has the standard shortcomings of this kind of food, a bit heavy on the pre-prepared sauces and manufactured ingreedients, but that is true of most restaurants of this type. It makes up for that in excellent and friendly service and quality of preparation. For standard chinese-american it is about as good as you are going to get, and those ingredients which are fresh are always high quality and well prepared.

I have to say I have been going to this restaurant for over 3 years and it's the best tasting Chinese food in Austin. I moved out of the area and continued to commute the now 30 minute drive just to have their awesome cuisine. UNFORTUNATELY ON AUG. 14TH I stopped there for take out and when I got home to have my meal there was two large pieces of glass in my food!! I called to speak to the manager about it and he denied that they use anything with glass and flat out called me a liar!!! WOW!! I HAVE BEEN LOYAL TO THESE GUYS, WE ARE ON A FIRST NAME BASIS. LUCKY FOR ME I DIDN'T HAVE TO Take A TRIP TO THE EMERGENCY ROOM!! NEEDLESS TO SAY I HAVE TO FIND A DIFFERENT CHINESE RESTAURANT WITH BETTER CUSTOMER SATISFACTION AND ONE WHO IS NOT SERVING GLASS INSTEAD OF CHICKEN IN THEIR HOUSE LOMEIN!!!!
