review_stars 05/13/2023 - Fellow restaurant owner
Pulled in to the drive thru at 8:46. Waited for the car ahead of me to order. It was my turn at approximately 8:49 and the call box message said the restaurant was closed. A female employee came outside and said I could leave… They were closed. I asked, “At 8:50???” She said, “Yes.” I explained to her my order was an easy one. Just a roast beef poboy and a Diet Coke. She said they could not accommodate, as they were closed. I was blocked in by another customer and could not back out. I asked if they could at least sell me a Diet Coke and she said no! I explained as a fellow restaurant owner, my staff would be fired for turning away business even if it was 10 minutes after closing. She again told me to leave and said I could voice my concerns with the owner who would be in at 8 AM tomorrow. I have patronaged Poboy Express for decades…Long before the Seigen Lane store even existed. Never again! I told the employee her attitude will be the reason she’ll be in a minimum wage job for the rest of her life. She told me she made WAY MORE than minimum wage. That’s the funniest thing I’ve heard in a very long time!

Oh… And I should add… Tonight I traced from approximately an hour away for that stupid roast beef poboy.

My company orders from Poor Boy Express quite often. But after today that may end. I ordered two
salads, one with grilled chicken, one plain. Ordered around 10:45am, they said would take about 10 to 15 minutes, left office at 11:00am, got to Poor Boy Express at 11:05(real close to our office on Siegen) and got there with two cars ahead of me in line at the window pickup. I waited 18 minutes before I got to the window. Gave them my name, asked for dressings, (Thousand Island/Lite Ranch). Was told out of Thousand Island, said no Lite Ranch so I asked him if he had just regular Ranch Dressing. He gave me
a crazy look like he was aggravated, got me my Ranch Dressing, ordered a Unsweetened Ice Tea, gave me that with "No Ice" to keep it cold. Paid and left. The guy at the window was rude, not friendly, was moving so slow and just didn't care if the customer was satisfied with the order or not. Never said Thank you, have a nice day or nothing. I don't expect to be treated special, but when you pay for something and you get this kind of treatment, who wants to deal with rude people. I don't. We probably will start to go somewhere else for our lunch. Its sad that you have to hire people that just don't care about their job or your customers and lose good customers. He was a complete jerk. Well good luck.

I ordered the hamburger patty with sautéed oinions on top - ordered fried mushrooms instead of the French fries
and it came with a salad and seemed like a piece of garlic bread. It was awful. I will not go back there anymore.
It was over $10. I don't mind paying for food but this wasn't even worth $5.00 much less $10. The hamburger
patties (there were 2) were so flat and fried so much they were dry. The gravy (which I guess they call that a gravy) was watery and greasy. The mushrooms seemed dry and like they were cooked the day before. No seasoning at all on anything, except the piece of bread. It was so bland it wouldn't even compare to hospital food. I'm not a picky eater and I rarely if at anytime complain about my food, but this lunch today was awful. Of course I didn't have time to bring it back because I was on my lunch hour so I ended up throwing everything away except the bread and salad which was mostly lettuce. But from the comment above it probably would not have done me any good to return it to try to get my money back. Anyway, this was on Siegen Lane and I can tell you I would not recommend this place to eat around here to anyone. Had I known it would have been
this bad I would have gone somewhere else. Too much competition around here to spend my money on food
that is unacceptable as a paying customer.

Never again will I go to this place. I had to sent my take out order back twice, then the guy at counter wanted to argue with me even though they got order wrong. Refused to give me my money back. Do not go here if you want a good experience.
