09/19/2011 - Kitchen Nightmare
I was on the way back with the family from Bloomington and we decided to stop by and eat dinner at wee willies in Elletsville. When we walked in it was noticably dirty (ceiling tiles and fans had dust on it), but we decided to eat their anyway. The waitress seemed busy, but took our order in a timely manner. For appetizers we had two salads and one fries with cheese and bacon. My stepdaughters salad came out first, followed by the cheese fries a couple of minutes later then followed by my salad a few minutes later. Yes, the other two were pretty much done with there salads before I got mine. By the way, the italian dressing was terriable. Then came our food. The stepdaughter ordered a pasta with pesta sauce. She got alfredo sauce, we sent it back. When it came back, it looked like they just added basil to the alfrado sauce and didnt cook her a new dish. The wifes dish was fine (BLT sandwich, how can you screw that up?). I ordered a chicken fried steak with fries, cole slaw, and hush puppies. The chicken fried steak was horrible, they gave me american fries (that was horrible) instead of regular fries, the hushpuppies were ok, but tasted frozen and not fresh at all. Oh and I never got my cole slaw. When I got the bill, the waitress never asked me how I like my food or if there was a problem (I handed her the plate full of food as it was in edible). Funny thing is, if she showed an once of concern I would have given her a decent tip because it looked like she was thrown under the bus by the kitchen and management. Oh well, I will never go there again.
