Modern Pastry is located in the heart of Boston's historic North End. Modern Pastry specializes in authentic, old world, Italian confections. Their pastries, cakes, pies, cookies and candies, are always fresh, and handmade with time honored traditions using the finest ingredients. Try their honey almond nougat called torrone. It is a fine example and one of their most famous products. For the cookie lover, you can purchase some of your favorite Italian cookies such as the delicate florentines, crunchy almond biscotti or soft butter cookies. Because their products are made fresh to order, the taste is truly that of the old country. They also have Italian gift items, truffles, and cookie trays that are great for any occasion.

Best Cannollis in Boston! I'm from Sicily, birthplace of the cannolli, and I was raised in New York, where there are great cannollis on every corner. Modern has some of the best pastries and cakes around. My parents, who are both extremly picky (since they are excellent cooks themselves) LOVED the cannolli and the cake we bought. Get the cannolli filling and rum cake for a birthday, and you'll never buy a plain birthday cake again!
The Mussel Zuppa is the BEST! ...
