Smith & Wollensky is located in a spectacular historic landmark, where Chef Tindaro Losurdo creates outstanding steakhouse fare, featuring USDA Prime steaks, dry-aged and butchered on premise. This treasured landmark is known to most as simply 'The Castle', and the space has been restored meticulously to recapture the integrity and beauty of the original millwork, masonry, and wrought iron ornamental work. Although Smith & Wollensky has earned its reputation as the quintessential American steakhouse, the menu is varied and offers many options beyond the signature exemplary steaks. Guests can also select from a variety of market-fresh seafood, poultry, and lamb. Delicious side dishes complete the Smith & Wollensky meal, such as creamed spinach, hashed browns, and seasonal vegetables. The dessert selection ends the meal on a memorable note with a variety of homemade cakes, sorbets, and ice cream. The Great American Wine List offers over 550 selections from all across the country.

10/16/2007 - Mary
Looked forward to experiencing this upscale restaurant - did so for our wedding anniversary - very disappointed - atmosphere was okey as was service - nothing special - went on Sunday evening - both had fillet mignon - it was chewey - for the price expected the steak to melt in your mouth - lobster bisque and sides were nothing special - creme broulee was best part of meal. We have had better fillet mignon at the Outback Restaurant for a third of the price. Would not return nor would I recomment this restaurant.
