The Plough & Stars may be tiny, but by night is one of the more popular and crowded bars in the neighborhood. Awarded the Best of Boston 2003 for The Best Bar & Irish Pub, The Plough & Stars is the oldest Irish pub in the Boston area. Since 1969, people have been enjoying a variety of the finest imported and domestic beers including the best pints in town. .The Plough has the reputation for the best pint of Guinness in town. They also feature a large range of imported and domestic beers. The Plough & Stars is a popular venue for some of the area's finest musicians, featuring blues, folk, R&B, swing, jazz, country, bluegrass, Irish, surf music and more. Daily, The Plough &akmp; Stars changes into a friendly bistro, where you can feel perfectly comfortable sliding up to the bar or sitting at one of the tables for some surprisingly good fare. They feature fabulous lunches at reasonable prices. Dishes include fish, poultry, meat & vegetarian choices. Lunch is served daily from 11:30 to 5:30pm. Brunch is served Sayturday and Sunday from 12:00-3:00pm. After work The Plough is a great place to stop by, read the paper, relax or have a chat with one of the many interesting people who frequent the pub.
