Don't understand the negative reviews. Food is extra cheap, portions are huge. Maybe not gourmet quality, but superior to most take-out places, and to my mind better (and way cheaper) than high-priced, fancy sit-down restaurant Golden Temple in Brookline.

And I definitely don't get the comments about slow and unfriendly service. If I call at 10:45 p.m., just before closing, food is ready in 10 minutes. The lady is always friendly, and remembers my name (calls me Mr. Herc). The guys have always been personable too, and have had conversations with me about politics, the weather, etc. as I waited at the counter for my order. Delivery has always been swift and accurate too, and I find the delivery guy to be very congenial.

I've lived in Mission Hill for 37 years. The current owners run the best incarnation of this little restaurant (and they've been managing it for some time now. With Flames (the Jamaican restaurant) and the little Mexican/Salvadoran place Montecristo (all on the same block), it serves up the some of the tastiest, most unpretentious and satisfying food in the neighborhood. Crispy Dough, the Brazilian thin-crust pizza place near the Mission Church, is pretty good too.

the food is passable but what is hard to swallow is the extreme rudeness of the counter people.the husband-wife team are absolute jerks.

The food was decent, and the delivery was prompt.
But, the attitude and the unfriendliness that was given to the customers brings down the quality of the food.
