My husband asked the owner to plan a nice dinner for my birthday, wow. Everything was delicious from the salad with escargot to the pie for dessert (and I don't even like pie). Thanks for the memorable evening.

It may be hard to believe when you first walk in, but this casual restaurant offers some of the finest food in Boulder – at surprisingly non-Boulder prices. Although fairly well known for its unique breakfast/brunch ensembles, which are served until 2:00p, the evening dining at the Burnt Toast is one of Boulder’s best kept secrets.
The head chef, Buddy, and his wife Ellen have created a relaxed atmosphere where you can settle down to one of Buddy’s gourmet dinners. Be sure to leave room for the individual homemade pies, which have an unbelievable crust. This family owned restaurant with its old world feel and slow pace makes it truly remarkable.

We had a lovely dinner - the steak was perfectly cooked, tender and served with a wine sauce that was perfect with the garlic mashed potatoes. My friends had the duck breast and the grilled salmon and both of them raved about how good it was. I would definitely recommend this place for dinner. Also our waitress was attentive and friendly. We had a great evening.
