I would give zero stars if I could. Worst dining experience of my entire life. Two people in our party didn't get their drink until 20 minutes after they ordered. Waitress never brought bread to our table, even though two people asked for it specifically. It took TWO HOURS for our food to be served after ordering. We would have left, but we had hungry kids and it was too late to go anywhere else at that point. Meanwhile, we received no apology, explanation, or even ACKNOWLEDGEMENT of the fact that there was obviously an issue. Under staffed? Big party? Kitchen backed up? Lovely, just say so... Now mind you, even when we thought food was coming out, we should have known we weren't in the clear. It took TWENTY EIGHT MINUTES for the last person to get their food from the time the first meal was brought out. I know this because my husband literally started his stop watch, because we were curious how long it would take based on how long we knew we had already been there. 28 minutes. Waitress seemed somewhat apologetic, but only at this point (2+ hours later after sitting down). She was more flustered and confused than anything. So now, we were just interested in eating and getting out of there. Waitress proceeded to take about 20 minutes to bring our bills out. Apparently it takes that long to split the check, even though she took our orders on separate tickets... When we got our bills, not a single thing was taken off. Not a drink, not a percentage, nothing to compensate for the terrible service. We asked if there was anything they could do about it, and the waitress said no. We asked to speak to the manager and he was apparently "too busy" to talk to us. Waitress was more defensive and confused why we were asking for something to be comped than apologetic for the situation and complete lack of communication or acknowledgment of the unacceptably long wait. This is the worst, most poorly managed establishment I have ever encountered and I can't believe they are even in business. To the manager of Village Inn, you are a coward for not even being willing to talk to a very rightfully frustrated and disappointed customer. What an embarrassing and disgraceful "business" you run. Don't ever waste your time or money on the Village Inn, and tell your friends the same!

Great food and friendly hometown service. Two thumbs up to Jason and Michelle!
