We had a great meal here! The poori was nice and puffy, and not oily like the other place in Burlington. It's not fancy inside but good food and polite service. Be aware that the link on this website points to a different restaurant in NH. I'm not sure what location the menu given is for, so call first if you have your heart set for a given meal. The buffet is Sunday only, not weekdays like the one in NH.

I've eaten here three times- once a la carte, once for the brunch buffet, and my friend and I just got take-out from there. I wanted to like it, but this place is terrible. This time, the two of us paid $25 for the Chicken Biryani and the Seekh Kabob. The amount of food we got was embarrassingly small- not enough for the two of us, and certainly not enough for $25. The kabobs were dry and only tasted like salt, none of the other delicious spices that typically season kabobs. There were a few pieces on a bed of onions- that's it. The biryani was very hot (spicy hot- my mouth burned), but completely lacked flavor. Also, my boyfriend's jacket still smells like Indian food from the time we went there six months ago. Won't be going again. However, if you're in the mood for a lassi, I did enjoy the lassi I got there twice.

I've always loved this place. Starting going here when I started at UVM in 2000 and went there way too often! ;-) The service is amazing and the food is very good! LOVE the mango lassi :-) I would recommend this restaurant to all!

The food he is great! I love the ordered the chicken tikka masala and vegetable samosa and really enjoyed booth. The people that run the place are super nice, good to see a local family business doing well.

I was totally disappointed with food quality. It seemed that the restaurant owner came here to do just business and not look into food quality. Food tasted bad and seemed that they were not fresh cooked. I had stomach problems within an hour after eating the lunch from this place. I would never go back to Shalimar of India and would recommend others also not to eat food at Shalimar of India.

The food is very good compared to the India House, but the quality could have been a little better based on the price. Overall I enjoyed the food and will go back there again. Also, the service was good.

I've been going here about every month for the last four years. Spiciness and quality depend on who is in the kitchen, but the naan is always, always good. Love the family as well.

We were quite disappointed with the food. Seemed like old food warmed up and the juice was diluted. The place seemed nice and service was good, but the food wasn't to our expectation.

I love this place! Food is sooo good. Better than India House. Place is a bit bare, but I love the music they play and the posters around the place. Service is excellent. A bit pricey, but it's worth it. Favorites: saag, nan, mango lassi, their rice pullao.

Food was wonderful!!! Tasty and fresh. This is the place to go for Indian food. Service is Fantastic! Chef even came out and asked how everything was. I am not an Indian food expert so perhaps a purist won't be happy but everything we had was excellent. Can't wait to go back again.
