I have visited this Baja “POLLO” (chicken) restaurant 5 times and only twice did everything go smooth and according to their advertised prices. That is, I have gone there twice and paid the regular price and there was plenty of chicken. However, when I have gone on Tuesday or Thursday when they have their whole chicken advertised for $4.99 (regular price is $9.99) there is a problem as the employees claim there is no chicken. It does not matter that it is 12:00 pm (primetime lunch period) or 5:00 pm (primetime dinner period). Today is Tuesday and once again I go there and I am told by the Julio who identified himself as the “Store Manager” he has no chicken to sell. I told Julio his restaurant specializes in chicken and they are supposed to have it available during business hours. Store Manager Julio gave me a blank stare and the remaining 2 employee went to the back room laughing. I then asked Julio if he could provide something comparable in return and he stated the owner told him not to make any more chicken. I asked to speak with the owner and Julio handed me a card identifying ALVARO GARCIA as the owner and a telephone number. I called the number and Store Manager Julio answered the phone and did not recognize my voice. Julio stated that Alvaro would be in maybe in the next 2 weeks, but that I could speak to JOSEPH a supervisor on Friday. I asked Julio why would I want to speak to one of his supervisors when HE is the Store Manager. No response other than I am not the only who has complained about Baja Pollo not having chicken to sell to customers. I asked Julio if he has discussed this ongoing problem/complaint with Alvaro. Julio stated “yes” and replied that Alvaro’s response was and continues to be not to make any more chicken. RIDICULOUS! I am done with this place and encourage everybody NOT to patronize this nonsensical restaurant that employs disingenuous people.
