I am a member of the Palm's 837 Club, primarily as a result of excellent service from a waiter and excellent food on my first visit approx. 2 years ago. I have been back for dinner two other times since (May '09 and Aug. '09). The May experience was also very good, but the August experience (when my wife and I were trying to show our daughter a really good treat) was an occasion none of us ever want to remember again)! It was absolutely horrible! Our waiter was absolutely over-worked with too many tables and too many assertive executive-wannabes who were too much for our waiter to handle. The result was an extremely lousy and disappointing meal (the bone-in rib eye steaks were over-cooked and not very hot or tender or flavorful.....probably because they sat back under the heat lamp for so long that they cooled off and dried out). Service at our table suffered to a great extreme, as pointed out above. It would have been of little use to complain, or to ask for quality meal replacements as the atmoshphere and the service would probably have been no better. This was a $200 experience that I sincerely regret. I emailed the manager after we returned home, but never received a reply. I guess they have so much big corporation business that they don't care about "the little people"!
