I have been visiting this place for 30 years, usually for family birthdays, and I have always enjoyed the friendly atmosphere and the experience of having the food cooked right in front of me. The ginger salad dressing is a particular favorite of mine, along with the garlic shrimp and fried rice. Despite some negative reviews, I find that the food is delicious, made to order, and the staff is attentive without being intrusive, making it a consistently enjoyable dining experience.

Extremely Disappointed, It was both of our Children's birthdays, My daughter has a gluten allergy so after phone confirmations and what is shown on site we chose Kobe
Well when my daughter and I got there before our son we spoke to the waitress and asked for the gluten free menu there was none as on site and it was on only the soy sauce that was the difference.
Our son came so we were excited to try different varieties of sushi, we were then told they had NO SUSHI, we decided to go on not to ruin the afternoon, tried to order appetizers, they had no soft shell crab, no steamed dumplings. Fine we continued we had made a point of our daughter's allergy. Lets understand an entire portion of the menu was not available except for the over $40+ choices (that sounds suspicious). Another group left when they found out NO SUSHI in a Sushi restaurant.
The chef was preparing our orders my son ordered a filet and they both ended up with a NY Strip less expensive.
I had a conversation when I set the reservation about cross contamination of our food with our daughters. She watched the Chef and he put food on her plate that was cross contaminated with our gluten order so he had to make hers separately again.
Close call or our daughter would have been ill.
I asked about fruit plate on the initial call and they said yes no problem, when we asked for the fruit plate on your site that was supposed to be no charge and the photo they said that was 5 years ago all they had was ice cream.
So with the understanding what food we had was good but extremely expensive due to the choices we had to make.
We chose not to make a scene and leave because it was our kids birthday dinner.
So we've learned our lesson about not trusting this Kobe's site.
