We live in LZ and this place is awesome! It's privately owned and has nothing to do with the Lukes chain. I've eaten about everything on the menu and you can't go wrong. Prices are fair and food is outstanding. The service and people are great. They have never screwed up a drive thru order of mine which I find amazing as it seems the chains constantly do.

Good food for a Luke’s chain eatery. Clean store, friendly counter staff.
I’m used to getting a beef sandwich that includes your choice of peppers. At least they do in most beef establishments I have eaten in.
We were charged an extra half dollar for each one ounce container of our hot pepper requests. Add another half buck for additional sweet peppers and/or red sauce. Fries are extra.
The quality of beef is good and seems to taste the same as the other Luke’s stores. The amount of beef is fair but could have been a bit more generous for the price IMO. Served dripping wet.
Not your original downtown Chicago beef sandwich served over stuffed with beef and choice of peppers and packed with fries. Still worth stopping in once in a while for your beef stand food fix.

I am from Chicago originally. This is true Chicago-style Italian beef. Excellent! The hot dogs (especially the two hotdog combo meal around 6.50) is a great value and comes with a massive order of french fries and a drink. You can feed a family of 4 for $12 or so. The people are nice, and the hot dogs are better than Portillo's (!!) and way cheaper! They are a gem in Lake Zurich!
