I placed an order on the Popeyes App, because they had gotten my order wrong more than once when ordering in person. I’m the kind of guy who will just let it go and eat what was provided anyway. I tried to order the 2 sides that went with the family meal when I got to the window. I was told that I had ordered fries, which wasn’t the case, and they wouldn’t change it. I asked for the manager and after some giggling and laughter, a man’s voice told me it was final and could not be changed. When I got to the window and took pictures of the staff, which presumably included the manager, they actually locked the window and went into the back of the restaurant and just stood there, hoping I would leave. Eventually, one of the employees opened the window and asked what I wanted. Dumbfounded, I told him that I just wanted my order, even though it was wrong. He said he would check, then the employee who was originally at the window when I arrived came to the window and told me that I did not have an order! I showed him the order, order number and payment on my phone and that it was at that location. He simply said I was wrong and locked the window. If he was telling the truth, then why were we previously discussing side orders? I had no choice but to simply leave without my order. I never raised my voice or cursed at them at any time. I reversed my credit card transaction and told them, via an online complaint, that I would file theft charges if they contested it. I will await the outcome. And, I will never return.
