The first time we ordered from The Blue Dragon in February 2021, they failed to send our delivery order for Sweet & Sour pork with a single drop of Sweet & Sour sauce, nor was there any pineapple with the meat & few veggies. I didn't want to be unkind or Karen-like, so I didn't complain. After all, they were just simple mistakes.
When we ordered from the Blue Dragon a second time, contrary to our selections using their online ordering system, our food was prepared with hot spices, which we can't eat due to health issues. (As I type this, my esophagus is burning miserably.)
The lo mein dishes have 3 options on the website: mild, spicy, or extra spicy. We chose mild. The cashew chicken had no such option, so I noted our request for "mild" in the order's comment section. The meals arrived as spicy. When I called the next morning, the manager, Luis, informed me that saying, "mild" means the kitchen staff ADD SPICINESS. That's utterly illogical. So, let me repeat that: The Blue Dragon's manager's & kitchen manager's inexplicable assumption is that if a customer says "mild," then they want spices ADDED to otherwise bland dishes. It boggles the mind. I paid a lot for meals which they didn't make according to specifications on their own website, we can't eat, and the restaurant refused to make it right.
I guess we're taking our business back to the Royal Wok. We had tried the Blue Dragon because of its proximity. However, the Royal Wok's food is outstanding, they understand the definition of the word "mild," and although I've never had cause for concern with the Royal Wok's meals, I know for a fact that they actually care about their customers' health and satisfaction.
