We have gone frequently to this place, brought our friends and recommended it to others. As time has passed, however, we have seriously tried to get over the weird/rude attitude of the poor chap (a relative no doubt) who pretends to manage the place.
On New Years Eve we showed up for our reservation & he called me a liar, obnoxiously stating I didn't make any reservation (he got me confused w/another guest, apparently.) I looked past it because our friends like the place. We are recognized only when it is convenient for them to do so; mostly they act as if they have never seen us before (and we went weekly for a very long time.)
This week was the last straw, as when I called for a reservation for 7 people he admonished if we didn't show up right at 7PM-there would be no table (we are always on time!) It went down hill from there.....
The food is good but that manager is a very strange duck with NO people skills - and very bad for business. We aren't kids and we certainly don't cause problems when we go to Michael's. We always tip well and are pleasant.
However, after 5 years of dining at this place, he angrily told us not to come back - our crime was that we dared complain about being told we had to pay at the register (after having requested separate checks and having gotten them for years. The excuse: The waitress that does that for you is not here today.)
If this is "4 star experience/service" we disagree - it is a KITCHEN with kitchen level service and CRAPPER attitude. We shouldn't have expected anything different - and we certainly will never go back!
Granted the food is decent - however, I believe if they ever get their liquor license they will go down to tube along with their "attitude." The biggest draw to Michael's is that you can BYOB. Kudos to Flora and her brother - the only people at Michael's with any sense that kindness breeds return business! Flora you can do better - as for us...Never Again!!

This is the best Italian Food in all of the metroplex. The food, service And Atmosphere are one of a kind. The patio seating is beautiful and the food is sinful. Definitly the best Italian place to eat
