11/14/2020 - Used to be my favorite spot.....
Prices went up... Still.... Ordered Singapure noodles. The main ingrediant in Singapure noodles is Curry and they are rice noodles.. Just had regular noodles with whatever they come with with no curry at all. Asked for exta-extra-extra spycy . Did not get any spice at all. Nevert again! Shame . After 15 years.

A lot of hype backed this choice for the evening and I was a little taken aback by the mediocre offerings we received after a big build up. I don't know where people in DC have eaten Szechuan food before, but this was only just average in every way. I can't really imagine going back...we ordered 6 entrees across the spectrum and 3 appetizers of the basics (spring rolls, Rangoon, dumplings). After having tremendous Vietnamese and Korean food in the DC metro area, I am still on the hunt for a good Chinese restaurant...and after climbing the Great Wall, still have more walls to climb apparently. Even if you crave Chinese food, or a spice load, I would suggest looking elsewhere.

Best Chinese food in DC proper (not counting MD suburbs) just be sure to order from the Ma La menu. Chicken Ma La w/ vegetables is my favorite. Their standard american/chinese fare is average at best.
