This place blows. The service is horrible. After over an hour we hadn't received our food. The only comment was "I don't know where your food is at." No explantion, no checking...nothing. When we left and complained to the manager it was like an every day ocurrance. We live about five blocks from there and will never eat there again. Furthermore, I will go out of my way to tell anyone who listens not to eat there.

My boyfriend took me to this restaurant for Valentine's day and I hated every second being there. I wanted to leave the moment we were seated. I fought back the tears because I knew he wanted the night to be special, but the restaurant's atmosphere created nothing but awkwardness!!! The seating and atmosphere is definitely the worst I've ever been exposed to. As I took off my coat, I debated whether I could squeeze through the tables and I'm a size 2!!! My boyfriend saw my frustration and I can tell he wasn't pleased as well. The people we were seated next to even made a comment about the seating. I'm usually someone that loves going out to dinner and will spend 2 1/2 hours at a restaurant, however, I wanted to get out of there more than anything! The waiter didn't speak english clearly and I couldn't even understand him when he asked whether I wanted another glass of wine. The service was very poor and he only had a couple of tables! I was annoyed that it took so long for him to ask whether I would like another glass of wine so I had to ask for it myself and then I had to ask where it was after 5+ minutes... Furthermore, he put my take home leftovers bag on the table and then asked if I would like dessert...It was like he was trying to get rid of us right away. The only decent part of the evening was the food...my boyfriend enjoyed his filet mignon and my shellfish baked in parchment was decent. I can not be any more serious when I say I do NOT recommend this restaurant by any means. I will never ever go back & I will make sure to tell those that ask for restaurant referrals in Old Town Alexandria to not go here. It is not worth the money.
