First with the positives: Quick seating service, and although the restaurant was packed, the server was at our table even before I could sit down, so that was a welcome plus. With the positive, unfortunately here is the negative: one long strand of hair *inside* the enchilada. We asked for no rice (due to food allergies), however the plate came to table with rice. When we asked for an exchange, server brought back same plate, with the rice just taken off (some was still on the plate). We had to call the server back to table at least 3 times to correct other missing items and mistakes for rest of folks at our table (total of just 4). Sorry, it may be a popular place, but left us feeling unsatisfied.

just love the food and everything about this restaurant and wish it would come back to richmond in a different locality. it would do great at short pump shopping mall or in the city, I am positive of that. we are so lost and sad here without rio grande so many of us miss it.

we were faithful customers of rio here in richmond, va but they closed it a few years back. can't understand it either it was always busy. wish they would try again in a different locality, it would probably do great at the short pump mall west end, or down town. come back please.

As a Texan, I never thought I'd find the best Mexican food I had tasted in many many years! Food was excellent, cannot recommend the giant grilled shrimp wrapped in bacon highly enough! Service was excellent and we were there on the Saturday of Mother's Day. Pure chaos and our service was impeccable! They will be on our "must" visit every time we are in the area!

Food is overpriced for the quality especially the drinks. Service was slow, my boyfriend and I will not being going back.
