Good food and nice place. Great dim sum here. I had the regular menu stuff too which is pretty good as well. Big fan of the ginger scallion lobster and steamed fish. The service was a little curt but hey par for the course at a Chinese restaurant.
Overall good meal for a good price.

Great food and great atmosphere. The food is amazing everytime I go and the menu is huge! I would recommend going for dim sum on the weekends if you like authentic Cantonese dim sum.
Food is hot and fresh and I love choosing from all the carts taht get pushed around, reminds me of dim sum in Hong Kong.
05/04/2008 - D.C. Epicurean
So I went to China Garden for the first time last month. It was in an office building in Rosslyn so needless to say I was skeptical but boy was I wrong. The food was awesome and the decor was so nice.
I've been back 3 times since for dinner and dim sum and I'm consistently happy with my meals. Dim sum in particular is my favorite here. Steamed shrimp dumplings and siu mai were all good. One gripe is the place gets busy and you may need to wait for a seat.
China Garden is one of the few good Chinese restaurants left since Chinatown in D.C. is getting completely gentrified with the Verizon Center driving up real estate prices... I highly recommend this place.
