If I could rate 0 stars, I would! My first time here, I ordered pho. The best pho I’ve tasted in town. Pho isn’t my absolute favorite dish in general either. Might I add that I’m Vietnamese. The second time here, I ordered pho again. It was so bland, tasted off, and looked totally different from the first time. I talked to the waitress and the manager already overheard. He apologized right away and explained that they had new kitchen staff and the broth wasn’t stirred as their unique flavor and seasoning were sitting at the bottom of the pot but he allowed me to order something different. Third and fourth time with different friends, ordered pho and was perfect like the first time. I’m all about second chances. I went back today with a friend from out of town and raved about their pho. Same thing happened to me that happened my second visit! Additionally, the broth was luke warm that the rare steak stayed pink. I walked up to the kitchen to the waitor and kitchen staff and, at the very least, asked if the broth can get warmed up because of the steak. The kitchen manager acknowledged who he was and acted defensively and said, “The broth shouldn’t be boiling hot to cook the steak well done.” I told him it is just staying pink and rare and wanted to explain my second visit to him. He turned it into an argument and said that stirring the broth has nothing to do with the flavor of the broth. The waiter is very inexperienced and shook his head as if I was crazy. Didn’t charge us for the second bowl of pho with the steak but I still tipped him well because it’s not his fault as he’s not the cook. The customers in the next booth from us (who came before us) were passive aggressive with the waiter as well because they waited a long time and never got their food. They decided just to pay for their drinks. This place has a high turnover rate on staff and it’s concerning for the quality of food and customer service. I will never come here again nor will I ever suggest the restaurant. A huge disappointment.
