i can only agree with the others. the food does not taste like german food at all. but as before said everybody has a different taste.

what shouldn't happen is the waitress getting wasted with the customers. we where there with a larger group of people and by the time the food arrived the waitress was already pretty loaded squeezing in between 2 people to then have a conversation with herself cause nobody wanted to talk to her, which it didn't really bother her. after a few minutes she decided to turn up the music. after that it was pretty much impossible to have a normal conversation without yelling, and even though it was requested to turn the music down multiple times she refused to do it.

the best part for me though had jet to come when the owner decided to sit on the table with us to b-tch about his wife and the waitresses telling the group freely how useless they really are.

i really hope americans don't think that this is a normal visit in a german restaurant where friendliness, customer satisfaction and quality are some of the most important goals. a restaurant like that wouldn't make it a month in germany and as you can see now it didn't make it in the us ether.
I'm still hopeful that they wont reopen this time and wont get an other chance to trash the reputation of good german restaurants. thank you for showing us how not to lead a restaurant to success

WE have gone to this restaurant at least 4 times now, and we are from S. C. We go to the German Store, Boone Wholesale Meats, and get the German bread for my husband. Then we usually go to the restaurant. My husband is from Vienna, and we have always ENJOYED THEIR FOOD AND HOSPITALITY. Never anything bad, and always good and hot. We love their bread and their salads are just like in Europe. We have been there also and it is really good. Everyone has an opinion as you know, so if you don't like it just don't go!! But don't trash the restaurant because you didn't like it.
EVIDENTLY YOU HAVE NEVER BEEN IN A GOOD GERMAN RESTAURANT IN EUROPE, WE HAVE.

I am European. The food does not measure up. And if your lucky you'll get a floor-show. When husband and wife have had one too many, they will fight and she will throw chairs at husband. We've been there. This is not how it works in a good European or German restaurant. We have not had the desire to return to the place. Like i said, on a scale from 0 to 10 they will surely rate 0.

i am from germany so i know what german food is supposed to taste like, and their food is far away from it!!!
2 minutes after we ordered the food came out, which already shows that they just warmed the meat up!!!
or maybe they didnt because this miniture piece of meat really didnt take long to fry!!!
it was dry and we could barely cut it, they sauce wasnt homemade and full of canned rubbery mushrooms, not very tasty.
in my salat i had a FOURTH of a CHERRYTOMATO!! haha and ONE crouton
it was ridiculous!!!!!

and on top of all this the chef came out, sat down on the table besides us and smokes a cigarette, how gross is that?????
oh and since i speak german i could hear the waitress talking bad about a guest that just left!!
so thats really not very professional and the food was the worse german food i've evern had!
PLEASE PEOPLE DONT BE FOOLED BY THIS RESTAURANT, GERMAN FOOD IS WAY BETTER THAN THIS!!
