My husband ordered a salad today to go. The salad came back with the wrong ingredients so I asked my husband to take it back. They took the salad took off the grilled chicken and place fried chicken on top. However the other ingredients where still wrong. I called asked to speak to the manager. He gets on the phone I tell him this<br />
He tells me I am wrong I say I have ordered this same salad many times the ingredients are not right. He hung up in my face. I was very polite and I didn't appreciate this at all. I have been there many times for breakfast and ordering the same salad for takeout. Needless to say I won't be going back and will make sure I express my poor treatment to all my friends and family.<br />

First off let me make this perfectly clear, I'm not from Flint and I'm not one of those drunks getting food after 2am being an ass in the drive thru. I drove 30 minutes tonight to go get some food at Starlite. My wife and I were hungry so I jumped in the car for some food and a late night drive.<br />
Got there and ordered two omeletes. Veggie and Omni. I asked if I could sub out ingredients. She said to me "Just tell me what you want"..........really? So I ordered and subbed out tomatoes for sausage. ok no problem right. She tells me my total and it seemed two dollars too high. (I had a menu right there). I proceed to drive up to the window and I asked her about the overcharge. Instantly frustrated she slams the window shut and retrieves the receipt. Extra charge for sausage which was almost two bucks. Ok thats fine but I told her I wish she would have told me that. That must have really got her fired up because she looked really annoyed.....said nothing to me and just took my money and closed the window. She might as well have just told me.....F-U, if you dont like it leave. <br />
Instantly I see her complaining about my displeasure to the cooks. Which are now looking at me shaking their heads like I should just be happy with whatever slop they push out the window and get treated how they want to treat me. Great, at this point I dont even want the food.<br />
By the way.....who was the tough guy cook with the blond hair? Yeah the one that came to the window and sat there and stared at me for at least a minute trying to look like a thug. You trying to intimidate me son? Step outside. You wont because your a coward and I would crush you and anyone else that works there. Real tough behind a wall arent you?<br />
Anyway, I finally got my order after regretting I handed this ungrateful hag my money because now I knew these classless people would probably do something to my food. WHICH THEY DID. They screwed up everything they could. Ingredients were not correct in the omeletes, eggs were burnt brown, hashbrowns were so undercooked you might as well have given me a raw potato with grease. Plus there was these disturbing black things in the potatoes I dont even want to know what they were. Rat droppings maybe? They couldnt even put the right toast in the box. I took the order home because I knew if I tryed to get my money back from the manager I probably wouldnt get anywhere.<br />
After I got home, I carefully inspected the food that I had no intention of eating in the first place. I found multiple hairs in both omeletes and of course the black stuff on the undercooked potatoes was very disturbing. The toast wasnt browned and had way too much butter on it. Who knows what else they may have done to this food??? Then I proceeded to feed everything to my dogs. I proabably shouldnt have because even my dogs eat better than that on a daily basis.<br />
Starlite Owner or Manager....Obviously you and/or your employees do not value customers business. Additionally, you need to stop hiring ghetto trash. They cant cook, cant get orders right and have no clue what customer service is, much less spell the word CLASS, pun intended. Overcharging on items your cashiers should be telling the customers about, especially when the customers inquire about it. Excessively rude behavior and language....."Just tell me what you want"??? This isnt my first bad experience at Starlite either. Usually everytime I have been there, something on the order is incorrect. <br />
I cant believe your restaurant is run this way and you still get customers. <br />
I know this is a diner and its Flint but you have to hold your restaurant to a higher standard than this. What I witnessed was the bottom of the barrel. Starlite has really gone downhill, well it wasnt that great to begin with anyways but when your hungry late at night there's not much to choose from. I wont be going back....ever...and I will be letting everyone I know about my experience there.

I worked for gm across the street from Starlite and ate lunch there many many times without a complaint. It is like most coney islands and I always enjoyed any meal I ordered

3 time eating there, all three time food was just ok nothing special. Today however we went there for breakfast at 11am. Husband had pancakes fried in oil making the pancakes tasted greasy but that not the worst of it. Asked waitress for an to go box for my leftovers, she carried the box under her armpit then scratch her hair after doing move she pull and puts her hand that scratch inside the box. After asking for another box she had an attitude. So she place the arm pit box on top of pile for the next person.

I went there while visiting family, and the food was awesome! The cole slaw is perfect, and I have never even liked cole slaw before, but would love to have the recipe for theirs. The server assured me that it was a family secret. The restaurant has been open for 50 years or more, I think. You can't go wrong here.
