The 2 grouper lunch sandwiches were very good. Service was excellent. Our only issue is the $75 lunch bill for 2(before tip) . Besides the sandwiches we had 1 Margarita and 1Coke .

Honestly. Unless you are starving - go elsewhere. I had the grouper dinner. You would think that the meal the restaurant is named for would be the best thing on the menu, right? Wrong…. grilled grouper….dry, salty, on a bed of wilted lettuce. It was so salty, I think they had blackened seasoning on it, realized that was not what was ordered and scrapped it off. It was served with a slop of cold cheap veggies (yellow squash, zucchini, red peppers and onions). It must have been sitting in an unlit steam table because it was mushy and cold. $18 “specialty” drink that was fruit punch with vodka.

Our experience at the Ugly Grouper was awesome!!!!! Our waitress Jackie, made the experience extra special!! She asked us our name when we sat down and when we left, she remembered our names. She explained everything to us and our order was perfect!! The entire experience was great!!

Very expensive grouper tacos. No wonder they didn't list price on menu. We were shocked by the bill.
Casual place but high end prices.

So this my second time here why I was out eating here not only was my food coming out cold after 30 mins but I had gone out to my truck an witness an employed manager was in a brown truck was selling what look to be a big bag of marijuana right in front of the place so I have to say I'll never bring my kids around these drug dealers ,crazy who I even seen the cooks getting wasted like how one lil white drinking voka out back they need to be closed down.

The Pina colada’s are fantastic. The bartender was super friendly and made you feel welcome.

I love that it’s outdoors with a big stage for live music. Who wants to sit inside a stuffy building when you visit Anna Maria Island! Their Bar staff have Huge personalities and have been Cherry picked from the best of the best! Plenty of games and space for the kids to roam while we grab an exceptional drink 🍹
