Ordered a simple pizza. I was told about 30 minutes. Returning back, I’m standing and waiting. I asked if my pizza was done by now, it’s been 45 minutes. The response was…oh…no…it’s not in the oven!!! We’ve been busy!!! Was it because I decided not to wait in the building my order was ignored? How about treating me like a valued customer as we order often from this chain. We love their pizzas but not waiting 1 1/2 hr. for any pizza. So we went to another Pizzeria.

I am the one that wrote the previously disparaging review. Any business can drop the ball from time to time but the measure of a good business is how they react when they do. I received a call from the owner who was at another of his stores in south Florida when he received feedback I had left on Marco's website a couple hours earlier.
After talking to him I am thoroughly convinced of his sincerity and his desire to find out the specifics as to what happened and will make sure it doesn't happen again.
He also has taken care of the bill and gave me his personal cell phone number the next time I am ready to order so that he can personally shepard my order from start to delivery to make sure I get a hot pizza to my liking delivered in a timely manner. I honestly don't know what more I could ask of him.
06/01/2013 - No more Marco's
1) Pizza was ordered online and to be delivered no later than 11:45 am. Received a confirmation email stating so.
2) By 12:15 pm ...no pizza and no phone call...so I called the store.
3) I was told my pizza was out of the oven but the delivery guy scheduled to work didn't show and they were waiting on another to arrive and that I should have my pizza in another 25 to 45 minutes.
4) I asked why nobody had called me when they knew my pizza would be over an hour late...no response. I then expressed concern that my pizza would be out of the oven for well over an hour before it would be delivered to me. They said they were going to remake the pizza.
5) At about 1:15 pm the pizza finally arrives...I asked the delivery guy why so late he said the reason I didn't get my pizza at 11:45 am as scheduled is because they couldn't get into the store because they didn't have the key. The manager has the keys and even though they open at 11:00 am he didn't get there until 11:30 am. Obviously two different stories means someone is lying.
6) The pizza they sent had the original ticket attached and was room temperature at best...so much for there assurance of remaking me a fresh pizza.
Every business can drop the ball from time to time but I will not support a business that is willing to lie to me and then not do as they said they would do as the remedy...such as making sure I got a fresh hot pizza.
BTW, I am sure some of you have got the same form letter from the owner Mr. Patel where he inquires why he hasn't seen you in a few weeks and if it is a result of poor service he invites you contact him directly and then provides a number to do so. The problem is he is not at that number for weeks at a time with no way to get a message to him...so apparently he is not all that concerned.
Marco's Pizza...has seen the last order from me and from my extended family that live in the area.
