Great food good price a lot of old people so good value and generous portions always had great meal

Went in today for breakfast. Right away the server was rude and unattentive.
When asked what we wanted I asked if I could substitute the oj that came with the meal for a coffee and she said absolutely not the only way to get coffee with the meal is if I added meat. So...in front of her I asked my husband if he wanted the meat and he said yes. So I ordered the egg meal with sausage just to get the coffee.
When she asked my husband what he wanted he said nothing. She then grabbed my menu rudely and left.
When my food was brought to me the home fries had onions and green peppers in them. Not what I ordered and when I asked when they started putting them in the waitress said why don't you want it like that? I said no so she grabbed the plate and walked off. I heard her tell the cook to replace the order and while I couldn't hear what the cook said I heard her say yeah I know sorry she's being difficult.
The whole time we were there as the other customers came in the waitress was very friendly with the chit chatting etc.
When she gave me the bill I noticed there was a $2 charge for sharing. I asked her about it when I went to pay and she said it's on all the tables. I said 1st of all it is not on our table 2nd we didn't share. She said it is on the tables so I took her over to the table I was sitting at and the thing on the table with specials she flipped around and said see its right there. I said it was turned around and you could barely read it.
But I stated I am not paying a sharing charge we didn't share and she said he ate the sausage and I said why didn't you tell us when we decided that that you would charge for sharing I would've ordered differently and she said because he didn't get anything. Like what??
So I then asked to see a manager which was a big run around. A short man walked in and she said he is right there when I asked him if he is the manager he said no I'm the dishwasher.
So the waitress and I went a round for a minute when she took the bill and said she would pay I said no I will pay for my food just take the $2 off that turned into her arguing with me.
That's when the short man walked back over saying "f%#%$k you get out you f"@^#:ing bum"
I stated so you are the owner? He said "yes you f^#^$ing bum just leave you bouncing all over making trouble" at this point he was yelling at me coming closer with his fist in the air.
I said quite loudly at this point you have no business being in this industry if this is the way you talk to your customers and I turned to walk out which he continued all the way cursing at me
I will NEVER step foot in that building again and will let everyone know what happened!

We love this restaurant. The food is consistently good, the service is excellent. We feel like family when we eat there or even take out meals. I especially like the liver and onions meal as well as the liverwurst sandwich. But everything is good.

Terrible food but the waitress was great ! Steak was spoiled along with the tea . The diner did give us a discount. Will not ever go back .

we signed our ticket total as $20.00 even, they changed the total and gave themselves a bigger tip...Fraud...I will be calling them today..

What a wonderful place to eat. We happened on it by accident and it was great. The food was fantastic ( and I'm a very picky eater)!!! The service was wonderful and everyone was very friendly. The ambience was very nice, pictures of old cars and movie stars, old juke boxes etc..., more food than we could eat and very reasonable prices !! This place is a jewel !!!
