Been going to Dean's for many years. We go for the food, and sometimes the nite-life! BANDS are always good. I have only had one bad meal there in almost 20 years. Hence the 4 stars. I think they were breaking in a new cook. But they fixed it, and then all was good again. If you like "American " Mexican, ribs, burgers etc., it's all good, and even breakfast. We've had all 3 meals there, and you never go away hungry. (Or lit...if that's what you're going for) Almost always sit outside, winter or summer. The fans keep you cool enough. Staff is always great. I'm a retired sever/bartender- kinda' know my stuff. GREAT job. Keep it up, and see ya'll soon!!!

Used to be awesome. The food has changed to crap. It's a shame. After 20 years. I'm done eating there.

Deans is always good. Prices and portions are great. Eat there once a week.

i don't know about the much maligned nachos discussed. i can tell you that i have never had better chiles rellenos. i enjoy the poblano pepper so ask them to make mine with double peppers. their enchiladas are also very good. i usually get one with the taco seasoned ground beef and one with the chicken. delicious!!! for all of you detractors, i invite you to find a better mexican food in this area.

the food always awsome

You're all ignorant and stupid, Deans is a great place to eat at. If you don't like the nachos then stop ordering the damn things. I think Deans is a great restaurant with excellent food. Although service screwed up 2 times in a row and decided to supersize my meal, it was still great food.

review_stars 02/05/2011 - Unhappy Customer Whose Given Dean's Too Many Chances
Like my father always says, "Give things another chance," I have given Dean's South of The Border many chances to redeem themselves; however, they have failed. The food was terrible. I will not be eating there again and I am more than happy to share my experiences with others so they don't experience it themselves.

How do you make horrible nachos, especially when you are known as a Tex-Mex restaurant? If I was able to, I would add a "horrible" star to the rating because the food was worst than terrible. The nachos were the worst I have ever had. The food tasted like something out of a can to feed a dog. I don't have a dog, but even if I did, I still wouldn't feed my dog their food. It was absolutely gross. Save yourself from the "want-to-throw-it-up" after-experience.
