My husband and I just moved to Fort White and after a long day of shopping and running around we stopped by 'The Goose Nest' and were treated wonderfully from start to finish. The food was fantastic! The serving sizes are great for the price, and they served real mash potatoes and piping hot fresh fried chicken. The ice cream from a local dairy is amazing, real ice cream!! We would highly recommend eating there if you are in the area!

This is a great place near the Ichetucknee State Park south entrance in Fort White. The atmosphere is great, the food is good, and the price is right. They have a big breakfast for $4.50 and a lunch buffet for around $7.00. True Southern Hospitality. They have a dinner buffet from Wednesday - Saturday night. We love the Lasagna and Chicken Parmesan that is sometimes on their dinner buffet. They are getting ready to open a Sweet Shop inside their restaurant. We can't wait for that! So, give them a try. If they are busy, be patient. It is worth the wait.

By the way, the map on this website it not correct. This restaurant is on US 27 just West of SR47 in Fort White. This map shows it East of SR 47. That is not correct. It is a large building with a large sign on the Road.

The Goose Nest is a must-try for those going to the Ichetucknee State park. The food is served Buffet-style and is full of Southern favorites like fried chicken, catfish, ham, fresh veggies and a full salad bar. The tea like the price, is one sweet deal. Enjoy!

Food is great-good service. Outside restrooms need a light outside!
