FOOD GOOD. SERVICE NORMAL. OWNER WAS VERY RUDE.
I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO THE RESTURANT AGAIN....
GET RIDE OF THE OLD MAN AND IT WOULD BE A BETTER PLACE TO EAT OUT AND BRING THE FAMILY.

Knives are optional here! I discovered this gem of a German restaurant about two years ago, and I try to visit at least twice a month now. Maximillian's is small and unpretentious. It is family owned and operated. The menu is not sophisticated but instead focuses on a large variety of "Home Cooked Meals" in the Bavarian style. The portions are very generous, reasonably priced and freshly prepared by Germans, unlike many other so called "German" restaurants. I LOVE this place for the simple home-like/family atmosphere and delicious, wonderfully prepared food. Whether you have Sauerbraten, Rouladen, Schweinbraten or any of the variety of cutlets, all are tender enough to cut with a fork. I only need my knife to butter my rye bread. The soups are home made and delicious, salads always fresh and crisp. The place is exceptionally clean too! Having grown up among home made German food, I have been disappointed with many German restaurants - NOT Maximillian's though. They consistently deliver to a high degree. I will be a faithful customer for as long as their door remai.s open.

We love Max's! Although we do live in Florida we make it a point to go to Maximilians every chance we get even if we are only visiting for a few days. The food is absolutely delicious and we have never had anything that we did not enjoy. The kids love it too! The restaurant is cozy and very clean and the owners treat us like family every time.

We have been going to Maximilian's every week for the last almost ten years(exept for a few months out of the year that we spend up north with the grandkids). Every time we come in we are treated like family! The place is clean and the people are friendly. We have never had a bad meal there but our favorites are the authentic roast pork and the Wiener Schnitzel! Keep up the good work!

Gee. I saw a bad review on this establishment by accident. I've eaten there quite a few times. Have always found the food the staff and the cleanliness to be outstanding.

Having been in Germany and from a part German Family I think I am qualified to talk about German (Bavarian) food. This resturant is as close to eating in Germany as you can get. I and my wife and friends have always had a great time there especially on music nights once a month. Want a good time with good food? Go to Max's and enjoy.

I would have loved to eat here but, when we arrived a man took a look at my husband, myself and two babies and turned the open sign to closed right in front of us and scurried off. We can only assume it was because we had kids because it was lunch hour and their were other patrons in the restaurant.

We have been going to Maximilian's for many years and it is up on the high list to be considered as good as our food was in Germany. Have no complaints only praises. The food is excellent; you get the real feeling like a German Guesthaus. Keep up the good work.

I have been going to Maximillian's for years. I always have enough food left from my plate for lunch the next day, so, I feel like the price is right. The family that runs the restaurant are very friendly and willing to do whatever it takes to make you happy.

Excellent food and service, with German beer on tap. Full variety of German dishes on menu and a special most nights. Have had many meals there and never been disappointed. Owners are very friendly and provide the table service and cooking.

The taste of the food was awful and the prices were worse. The only thing that gave me a reason to think about something other than how terrible the food tasted was the service we received. We were the only people in the place and the 2 workers sat and started at my family while we ate. When my son had to go to the bathroom (which had no air conditioning) the old man sitting next to the door commented "He has to go again!" I'm 40 years old and I have never had such a poor experience at a restaurant. Go anywhere else, just don't go here. Save your wallet, your stomach, and your nerves the tragedy that is Maximillian's German Restaurant on Hwy 52.
