Melrose Cafe, began in 1986, with the current owners, Carol and Michael, is a casual, family friendly, small local restaurant in Melrose, Florida. The décor may not be much unless your a UF Gator fan. Who would not want a 8 foot gator skin hanging on the wall next to their table?
Open all day, every day, 6:30am-8:30pm, featuring “Breakfast All Day Everyday.” Their most popular item on the Breakfast Menu (and my favorite) is the Cafe Skillet: two eggs, choice of meat, shredded hash browns, 3 choices of fresh veggies, and covered with American Cheddar cheese. All served on a sizzling hot cast iron skillet.
It is also a great reasonably price place for lunch and dinner. Their menu includes burgers (with large fries), sandwiches, salads, homemade soups, and dinner plate specials. Also available is a kids and seniors (over 55) menu. The service is great and the “wait staff” adds to the friendly atmosphere.

Always good food and great service, no matter what time of the day. I highly recommend this place. Everything I've ever tried there is tasty, and been eating there for almost a decade!

Terrible, ive actually worked here and nothing is up to code, no temps are ever taken nor is the correct equpiment privided in oreder to do the job consistently, such as temps, grease or oil not beinging changed regularly, food being un thawed improperly, or being left to set out and customers consume this product, such as ur bacon, it sits in a pan ontop of the grille all day long, never reheated. ever.. This is terrible standards as your consuming the product!! The fish isnt fresh, its microwaved to thaw cause the oil is so old the batter will burn yet the fish is raw inside! ask mrs D about this procedure~!.. ,and the wings are frozen, everything is frozen.. never fresh dont be fooled. Equipment is out of date, the grille has 55 different temps on one setting. so hard to be consistent! Burnt eggs, raw eggs, all the same.. any way.. ive been behind the counter.. and all i gotta say is i wont eat here , never have never will! ever! and chances are u should eat at your own risk! good luck!

i have lived in melrose for 25 years!! melrose cafe has ALWAYS been the very best there is!! i have eaten there hundreds and hundreds of times and have never had even 1 complaint. if you want to eat some really good home cooked food in a welcoming, family loving atmosphere, then this is the place to go! once you eat there once you'll for sure be hooked!! one of my favorite things about melrose cafe is that i can order breakfast any time of the day. all their food is awesome but their cheese omelet with home fries are the BOMB!!!!!!!
