My husband and I live in Cape Coral and we have gone to Portofinos for dinner three times since we found out about the restaurant.
The food, service and view is terrific and you also get entertainment. The prices vary for whatever you can afford. I can't understand how they don't get 5 stars all the time. The best place to go for your money.

Made 7pm reservations, arrived at 6:55pm. I was told there is a 1hr wait. I was with 7 other people so we agreed. Seated at 8pm, waiter arrived at table at 8:20 made order cause we were hungry, drinks came 22 minutes later, 9pm no food, 9:30 no food, 10pm still no food ask for manager. I was told kitchens back up and you can go some where else if you like. So I did Hooters cause that all was opened at that time. I have never seen such unprofessionalism in my life. If you are looking for a horrible dinning experience go to Portofino you'll love it. They might ever over charge you on your bill.

I have enjoyed Portofinos each time I have been there, The food is wonderful, the view of the Harbor is fantastic and if you are in to sunsets in Florida, this is a prime location to enjoy that, Portofino's offers 3 different areas in which you can sit to help create the experience you are looking for. If you prefer to sit at a bar, there are several of those to choose from, both inside and out. If you would rather enjoy your meal in a fine dining area, Portofino offers that, but if you like the more laid back and relaxed 'outside on the water' experience, that is always available. There are also several nights per week where a live band is present, and other nights where it's a more quiet setting. With Portofinos you really can create the type of dining you enjoy. Pick the time, the day, the setting that is comfortable for 'you' and go and create some very nice memories. I recommend Portofinos to all of my friends and often meet groups of people there just to sit outside by the water and have a drink. The menu is also very 'user friendly' as it offers many different types of food from pastas to seafood to steaks to salads... I have never had a bad meal and the staff has always accommodated the type of evening I was looking for. If you have never tried Portofinos, it would be well worth your time to go.

No more fine dining, just foul dining with a nice view. Been there many times, but it has really declined as far as good food goes.......I guess we needed another bar in Port Charlotte.

The food was tasteless. I had to take it home and add spices to it. At sunset the owners blast music so loud that you can't hear your dinner companions. Every one applauds when the music is over; not because they enjoyed it, but because the disturbance is over. I tried it twice and will never go back. Don't waste your money.
