Great Atmosphere. I love restaurants like this, hometown quality meals with a caring staff and dam good size dinners without an offensive price

njoy this restaurant because of the cooling ride to get , there (along the Withlacoochee RiverfrontE
a diverse menu with inntriguing specials and if you don't want fish AGAIN onad Saturday nights there is a very eustic and an "all you can eat catfish" is pupular. The staff is cheeful and accommodatingBut in the end, it is location, location location. Be caustious down near the river's bank as large gatorns can come up there to sun themselves there wit day'w lqwt rays. I've seen migjhtily shocked people.

Love this place, patron for years. Drive a hour and half for the best meal anywhere Never ever had a bad meal. The owner often helping , which is rare these days. I have brought large groups and sent many. Skip the one in Inverness.

Well this was my first time and I absolutely loved it!! Ii have cooked soul food for many years but this by far was one of the best. The fish was fresh and cooked just right,. The price is what I would expect for such a large amount of food. Our server was great. My only disappointment was the shrimp cocktail. Smaller shrimp then I’m used to and the sauce was great. Otherwise I will be going back and telling my friends.

Only giving it one star as the gator appetizer was decent - lacked seasoning like everything else but gator itself was decent. Everything else was not good from the food to the staff. Heard whole conversation of who I'm assuming was the owner getting on to our waitress for not charging things correctly. While I understand needing to go over that there is definitely a time and place and it's not when you have customers right by that can hear every word. Watched and heard the female manager coughing constantly without covering her mouth and then after touching tons of papers and other things went and stuck her bare hands in lemons at bar. She did not wash her hands nor did she put gloves on.
The food was honestly the worst catfish we've ever had. It was bland and lacked any flavor. Daughter's burger was equally as bland. Husband told waitress and manager how unsatisfying the food was when asked and despite taking 1-2 bites each of our plates we still were required to pay the bill. Waitress didn't want to charge us but due to manager we still paid $80ish as manager did not care that the food was awful.

You need to post on your website when you're closed for vacation. We love to stop for catfish on our way home to St Pete from being up north. It is a long way from I-75 to there only to find you are closed. Shame on you!

Food was great! HOWEVER, when it came time for our party of 7 to pay our bill, we were told VERBALLY what we owed The waitress got irritated and nasty and said "I told you what you owe". I insisted on a proper itemized bill. She brought a second nasty person over and asked what the problem was. I told her I wanted a proper bill. After a long wait, she brought one over and said "I need that back", The waitress went around the table and collected each bill. I handed her my credit card and she turned her back. I went down to pay myself and the 2nd nasty one grabbed my bill and credit card and processed it. I was overcharged but just wanted to get out before the scene got nastier. We will never go back.

Terrible food and worse customer service! My friend and I love a good seafood shack and we were hoping for another good experience. Despite the cute location, the food was absolutely atrocious! We each got a pasta dish called the Fab 4 that was supposed to come with shrimp, scallops, mussels and a cluster of crab legs along with a choice of soup or salad. Both the starters were underwhelming and our meals came out without crab. We alerted the server and were told that crab got too expensive so the chef gave us each more of the other items (no he didn't and we want what we ordered). We asked for the crab that should have been included to be brought out and proceeded to sample this nearly unpalatable meal. The mussels tasted like dirty bathwater, scallops were incredibly tiny and overcooked, shrimp flavorless, and the scampi sauce drowning the overcooked noodles and mushy corn on the cob was too salty and overall just bad. We sent back the food when the crab came and just ate that. It was also flavorless but better than anything else (It didn't even come with butter). We agreed to pay for the crab, but the owner/manager insisted that we also pay for the soup, salad and 6 shrimp that we ate combined between the two meals. The cost came out to a dollar more than the initial bill, and there was no attempt to apologize or do anything to rectify our bad experience. I am appalled at how little this place cares. Do yourself a favor and go anywhere else! We will certainly never be back!

Stumpknockers Restaurant is a must go to event whenever we have company. The food is always excellent along with the staff and atmosphere. A fun place to dine!

The food there is ok and is a bit pricey but I love coming back just to see those awesome bus boys in action. They are second to none and get the job done in a blink of an eye, I always make it a point to tip those hard workers something a little extra just to show we care!! And you would to if you cared!!
