We live in town and this is the only fast food restaurant that has the lobby continually closed with the excuse "understaffed". The very last time we went (2 weeks ago) and probably THE last time we will ever go, we got an attitude from the manager. There were 5 workers inside that we could see. One was sweeping the lobby (not sure why it would be dirty if closed) and my wife knocked and asked him to tell the cooking staff to add cheese to her item. We used the app and removed the nacho cheese because she has a medical condition and cannot have spicy food. He said he would and when we drove around to the drivethru, there wasn't any cheese. Then we told them the app was giving us problems, but if we did order, she wanted Brisk Mango for her drink. They said they were out. So she wanted Baja Mountain Dew, 1/2 regular, 1/2 diet, light ice. I went around to the front and used the app. I placed the order and saw someone go to the drivethru to place theirs. I was going to wait behind them, but then I thought, I placed my order first and my food would get cold, so I went around to the window. They told me I cut in line. I told them my order is already in and theirs wasn't even placed yet. They made me go back to the front. I accidentally hit the Baja Freeze. The kid comes out telling me the freeze would be a small size. I told him I picked that by accident and that I had told him specifically how I wanted her soda 5 minutes earlier. He then proceeded to tell me I couldn't place specific orders like that for drinks on the app, only with the drivethru. During the 45 minutes we were outside, only 2 other people came there and tried the door. I don't know if they left or went through the drivethru. My wife and I have called corporate 3 times during the past 2 weeks trying to get either an owner (if franchise) or someone higher up to speak to. Customer service tells us they can only log the complaint. It's sad that they don't care about the customer. Which is sadder is the fact that between 1/1-4/12 I've ordered 12 times with this restaurant. This does not include the times I couldn't get in because the doors were locked. There are a couple of nice people who work there. There are plenty of other choices in the city (BK, KFC, McD, Wendy's Subway, Little Caesar, Dominos, Pizza Hut) along with diners, restaurants, taco trucks and even Chilis. They don't get my money any longer. If the corporation doesn't care about its customers, we won't care about them.
