10/15/2014 - William Lewis
Pops Corn at Coral Square is simply the best. On a recent visit to the mall with a friend, we stopped at exactly 8:59 p.m. seeking a popscorn treat. As closing time was fast approaching, I thought we would be turned away with the usual "I'm sorry, we're closed," line.
Gage and Daniel were more than happy to help with our popcorn order. After much deliberation, we decided upon the 16 ounce bag of caramel popcorn. I inquired on how the popcorn was portioned out and Gage indicated that they weighed it on the scale that was now apparent in front of my very eyes next to the cash register.
When our bag of popcorn turned out to weigh 19.6 ounces, I quipped: "does that mean you'll take some out?" I was met with the response - 'no." Great job - my order was upsized without even asking.
To go with our popcorn, we decided on the Pops Polar Cup, an amazing frozen lemonade offered by Pops Corn. Always a favorite with bits of lemon rind to keep it real.
Great job on not sending us away at closing time. I've been to several of the Pops Corn locations dating back to the very first one in Weston over a decade ago. I will visit this location again next time I visit the mall. I do need to check out their Yo Mama's Ice Cream on Fort Lauderdale Beach sometime.
