The writer frequents this Diner several times a wk. I find the food always cooked fresh and offers a diversified menu - cooked fresh and well served. Soups are homemade and good. Service is always good - friendly and efficient. Tables are cleared as soon as a client leaves - all in all we have always found it very clean They enjoy a steady return crowd at all meals. Matter of fact,it isn't unusual for clients to greet other customers who frequent this diner as I do.

My husband & I decided to give our local diner another try. We live 2 blocks away & did not have a good experience the first time we were at Grand apron 6 months ago, but we do not right a restaurant off on one visit. It is Sunday afternoon and there were many table available, most were not cleaned off or had now been wiped properly. The astride/ hostess told us "this one is ok" and we were sat. She left to get menus but only returned with one? She left again with no promise of returning, because she did not. Another couple came in and were seated and given menus. She promptly came back and took their order, ignored us & walked to kitchen. We walked out. I work in retail & understand times are tough, this is Not the way to run a customer service business. A welcoming feeling is expected, needs and wanted. The Grand Cental has NONE of these! Do not patronize this diner.
