I was in town and heard a lot about this little mom and pop breakfast restaurant. After finally eating there I am in love. Did a little research and found out this place has been in business for over 40 yrs. Sometimes great things come in small packages. What was a husband and wife start up breakfast shop has grown into a neighborhood staple and continues to be family owned and operated by a Sister and Brother duo. I'm telling you this food is great!

If you enjoy good southern breakfast, this is the place for you. The biscuits are mouth watering. The salmon cakes with grits...yummy! This a true mom and pop restaurant. no frills, just good food.

I use to live in Hallandale Fla years ago I left in 1985 when I was 16. I always miss Sonny's restaurant. We don't have anything such as that in New York. But Sonny's I will be there in another week and I can't wait to taste those biscuits and sausages. I use to run late to class at Hallandale High School just make sure I get my breakfast and couldn't wait to chomp down on those biscyuits with Jelly on the way to class. I can hear Mr. Saunders yelling at me "Beverly" hurry up and eat that food and get to class before I call your grandmother. See you on Saturday morning 8/19/09 Sonny's restaurant.

I am a Hallandale resident. Been here practically all my live. I now reside in the city of Miramar for the past three years. I attended Hallandale High School, which by chance is directly across the street from the restaurant. I love----------------me some sonny's biscuits. Do you hear me? they are to die for. the breakfast is the bomb. The salmon is in a competition all by itself. I never ate grits, until I started going to sonn'ys. They make them just right? Thank you, Mr. Sonny. Thank you, Willie. Okay, I hope that I convinced everyone that is someone to give Sonny's a chance to charm the pants off of you, and have you comming back for more. Okie Dokie, got to jet.
So long,
Respectfully yours,
Pat Parker c/o 83.
