After reading through several positive reviews of this restaurant, my wife and I decided to check it out for dinner. The server was polite and attentive throughout the duration of our visit. We were expecting a lot when the server brought out our food. We had each ordered the rib eye steak, cooked medium rare. When my steak was brought out, it looked almost like it had been cooked in an oven. There was no sear on the outside of the meat and I saw no evidence of any seasoning. My wife's steak looked just like mine had looked. I cut into the steak and noticed that it was cooked brown throughout--not well done, but most certainly above medium well. I almost never send steak back, but I was not going to eat an overcooked steak for which I had payed $22.

My wife and I sent our steaks back. These were the last two rib eyes, so the server asked if they could bring us a filet instead. We ate our sides while we waited for our filets. My glazed carrots were actually really good, and my wife said that her green beans and baked potato were also very tasty. The sides and the service were the only reasons that I could justify giving a second star in this review.

The new steaks finally arrived. The outside looked just like the first steaks--unseasoned and unseared--but the inside was closer to medium rare. I began chewing on the filet, and it was, without a doubt, a great cut of meat. Unfortunately, it didn't have any flavor. I actually had to ask for A1 sauce just to force the meat down. This is the first time that I have ever used A1 on a filet. The server asked if the meat lacked flavor, and I politely said that it wasn't seasoned at all. It seemed like the server expected that response. She said that the cook was new and suggested that she really did not know how to cook steak yet. She suggested that we come back during the weekend because the other chef would do a better job with the steak. I told her that we were visiting from out of town and that we would not be around. I was almost sick as I payed nearly $50 for two steaks that I would have thrown away or fed to my dog before serving to guests at my own house.

My wife and I were polite throughout our visit. We wanted to enjoy an evening out, and we were not going to let bad steaks keep us from having a great time. Had we pushed the issue, the server might have done more for us. Given that the steaks were obviously poorly cooked and that I was honest when asked about the flavor, I do feel like the management should have done more to make sure that we left feeling positive about the visit. Telling us to come back on a night when a better cook was working was not enough of an olive branch. Even if I lived in the area, I would not consider returning to a restaurant that had charged me $50 for the worst steak that I had ever eaten.

Took my wife and son here one evening after spending a day at Calloway Gardens. It was really a disappointment from start to finish. We ordered an appetizer that never came out. When the waitress bright our dinner I told her that we never got the appetizer. She said I'll go check on it. While we waited a few more minutes we went ahead and started eating our dinner before it got any colder than it was when she brought it to the table. I ordered slaw with my meal, never got it. We got done and asked for the check. Go figure the appetizer and slaw I added to my order were still on the bill. Her response was she couldn't take it off but she'd have the kitchen get it put together in a to go box. Just an overall bad experience.

Worst food I have ever had! Cold, overcooked, tasteless, Also extremely overpriced for the quality. Save your money and eat somewhere else.
