The Dog House was born when Dick and Geraldine Purdy moved to Beaufort from Long Island to retire. Not being able to adjust to retirement, Geraldine suggested Dick find something to do.
In August of 2011 The Dog House opened the doors. The menu offered just dogs and sausages. In the past couple years the menu expanded and the changes were welcomed.
In August of 2016 Blake Moyer and Vicky Webb bought the restaurant. Their dream became a reality, Beaufort SC became their home and The Dog House became their passion.
Blake and Vicky’s mission is to continue making the locals and visitors happy with a full stomach and enjoyable visit.
