walked in at 10:15 on a Friday when Hoboken is abuzz. Lights on, doors unlocked, menu lit up like a Christmas tree. Walked in - the only guy there was checking his email and proceeded to inform us, "sorry guys, we are closed." I then suggested: "then lock your door." Walked out. He then chased us down Washington Street with the following: "Hey, you bitch! You slam my door!" or some other ridiculous statement which definitely included the word "bitch" several times over. I certainly did not slam the door. Was it because we were gay... hence his "bitch" statement? Was it because they were closed? Had I been a drunk college kid would I have been served? If you're closed, then LOCK YOUR DOOR and put up a closed sign. Offended.

This place, although seemingly full of potential at first look, has gone 0 for 3 with me. I've only actually purchased from there one time out of my three visits.
As previously stated by other reviewers, they are have been out of ingredients on the reg. Their prices have been different (more expensive) than their menu/ordering board shows. I ordered the corn on the cob one time, and the owner/worker subsequently tried to charge me 2 dollars more than the menu listed. I told her to keep her corn.
Another visit, I wanted to "Create my own" quesadilla, which you're supposedly allowed to use three ingredients. Their menu has, included in various items, spinach, goat cheese, tomatoes. So, I thought it was completely reasonable to ask for a spinach/goat cheese/tomato quesadilla. I was told that those items couldn't be included in my quesadilla. So I asked what was eligible, and was told chicken, grilled vegetables, and cheese. So much for "create your own" with three ingredients when they only offer three.
Lastly, honestly, the place stinks. Literally. I don't want to imply the place is dirty or ingredients are spoiled, but something isn't right in there (knowing a little about Mexican cuisine I think it might be the carne asada?).
Either way, don't waste your time you can find better Mexican in this town...

You have to know what you are getting into: They are frequently out of ingregients, but never tell you that until you are picking up and paying full price. They only have orange soda, they do not offer most appitizers for lunch, they frequently do not make the salad that is supposed to come with your meal and they give skimpy amounts of guacamole and sour cream. if you can tolerate that - the food is good.

The place to grab a quick cheap lunch that tastes GREAT. Lately we have been hooked on the flan as well. The chili is amazing and the burritos are perfectly sized for lunch.
