I am completely outraged at the level of customer service that I received from Hanks tonight. This was something I never expected, as I speak highly of them to everyone I know. Being from Louisiana explains the love I have for seafood. I‘ve patronized this establishment for many many years. I visit at least 4 times a week during crawfish season no exaggeration. Therefor you can only imagine the kind of money I spend here. I visit so much and tip very well most waiters already know what I want. But due to the virus going around, I haven’t been able to sit in and have my usual Gator Bite while I enjoy my seafood. Not to mention I’ve never had any problems here besides sending crawfish back that was too spicy when I ordered mild. Well on yesterday the mayor ordered a shut down, while thinking Hanks may also be affected, I had to get my last fix. So I placed a phone order for 3 pounds mild and 3 potatoes, which totaled $28.65. I didn’t eat the seafood immediately because I didn’t want to share lol. Eventually they were later placed in the fridge until the next day (today). When I did sit down to enjoy my crawfish by myself, I noticed a funny smell followed by a funny taste. I ignored it. I ate about 6 crawfish and knew something just wasn’t right. I then called Hanks and asked to speak with the manager. I explained the situation to her. She asked for my ticket number and then repeated my order back to me. She then stated she had to speak with her boss and give me a call back. I waited about 10 minutes for a call back before I proceeded to head to Hanks. I arrived at Hanks with the crawfish and receipt in hand. Approached the manager and sat the bag on the counter with the receipt. She stated her boss hasn’t responded yet. She then began texting, I said be sure to inform your boss that I’m a loyal customer and spend a lot of money here. I waited exactly 7 minutes, she then responded, my boss said it’s nothing we can do, because they were fresh when we gave them to you. I was appalled! I informed her I didn’t want a refund, I would just like more crawfish. She then said I have to follow my boss order. I then asked you mean to tell me behind $28.65 you are willing to lose a valuable customer? She didn’t respond, I said ok! I left the crawfish and walked out. That experience only ensured me my business in not appreciated. I will NEVER step another foot in Hanks and see to it that my family and friends don’t either. I’ll rather spend my money elsewhere, where customers are appreciated.
