I recently got to visit Huntsville for the first time for training classes, as a treat our awesome boss took us to dinner at Cyn Shea's, it is as good as it gets ! after feasting on the excellent food and being waited on by an even better staff, in our rush through the rain to get our rental car and get back to our motel, i neglected to even leave a tip, and i felt terrible about that, but was told that their hours wouldn't permit me to drop one by before our flight out, but i know when i am in Huntsville again i will be able to make it up to them cause i will definitely eat there again and so should you. thank you Cyn Shea's for a wonderful meal and evening, God Bless All.

Me and my friends have been coming to Cyn Shea's Cafe (used to be called Shea's Express) over the past 4 of 5 years multiple times a month for the live jazz and brunch on Saturday's or as a week day meet up place so we can catch up over coffee and pastries. We love the atmosphere and the staff is always friendly. The owner wears her Christianity on her sleeve and truly has a servants heart! The food and coffee are always on point and I would recommend this place to anyone!!

Upon finishing my meal, I and others in my group went to the cash register to order coffee and dessert. The owner, Cynthia Shay-Hart, became extremely agitated and condescending when she began ordering me to step away from the dessert case and away from the cash register, all the time ignoring others standing in line. Initially she ordered me to step behind the wait station, then changed her mind and ordered me to go to another cash register at the other end of the room. Compliantly, I went to the other cash register (unmanned); a sign directed me back to the cash register where I had been waiting. I realized this woman had to be the owner because of the way she was treating the other workers, and especially the manner in which she had spoken to me. Had she been an employee, she would have been immediately fired for the way she had treated me. Also, I noticed she was working in the food prep line with her long, stringy, uncovered hair dangling over the food.

I returned to where I had been standing and politely informed Cynthia Shay-Hart that I did not appreciate being bullied and publicly humiliated by her. Sarcastically, she responded "blah-blah-blah have a good day." Shortly afterwards the manager, Mr. Noble, came to our table, apologized for the owner's behavior and compensated each of us for our meal. He tried to explain that she normally didn't behave in this manner but the day was being a stressful experience for her.

I do not know Cynthia Shay-Hart but upon reading her mission statement, she touts herself as being a devout and practicing Christian: “Cyn Shea’s exists to bring glory to God through our Lord Jesus Christ. We are committed to being a Biblically–principled, dynamic, profitable company focused on our promise to create a unique and memorable experience for every guest in every bite, every time.”

Needless to say, Ms. Cyn Shea did create a unique and memorable experience for me and the other three women with whom I was dining. Where I'm from, we would label this statement hypocrisy, as demonstrated by Ms. Shay-Hart's behavior; however, as in so many things and activities labeled "Christian" in this state, it appears to be just another attempt to use religion to sell oneself and their products. I conclude my review with a well known Biblical saying: "Beware of false prophets" - Mathew 7 15-20, KJB.
