Permanently Closed! Such a shame!

Disgusting. Tostadas were miniaturized and only beans and lettuce. Beef burrito had four small unchewable chunks of meat. No sauce. Asked for red sauce and got a small bowl of some reddish blackened petroleum by-product. Salsa and pico were over 50% jalapeño and unfit for human consumption. Done with the place and we were regulars.

Best Mexican food in St. Louis area. Food is fresh and made on site. Not out of a can. Home made tamales are to die for. Great margaritas.

My girlfriend and I went to Ramons and we had mixed expectations due to online reviews, both good and bad. We asked a couple leaving the restaurant if it was good and they said 'it is the best authentic Mexican food" they've had and told me to order the special. We were ordering our food and debating back and forth in front of the waitress of whether or not to get the full or half order of cheese nachos for my girlfriend; I ordered the Chimichangas. We ordered and waited over an hour and ten minutes for our food to come, watching four or more couples who arrived after us order and leave before we got our food. My girlfriends nachos came five minutes before my food and their 'authentic' idea of nachos was nacho cheese like you find in a baseball park. It was a huge let down, my chimis were bland and cold, and we immediately asked for the bill so we could leave. The bill said the nachos were for the whole order when we specifically ordered half and even at full order, the price on the bill was wrong. I asked and the waitress goes....'Oh...it doesn't come in half orders...I guess I didn't explain that very well'. I asked what the solo was for 4.99 instead of full 6.25 and she said that that was the cheese itself- nacho yellow cheese by it self for 5 bucks! We were apologized to seven times while there for the long wait and we got tired of hearing it. We were wondering if the people in the parking lot had ever had real authentic Mexican food and how they could have thought that their food was good. We'll not be returning.
