The Arlington community,
First I would like to thank all of our loyal customers who have supported us in the Arlington community for over 11 years. I would now like to share some facts about WingDepot:
1. In 2012 875,000 in sales
2. In 2013 989,000 in sales +13%
3. In 2014 1.1 million in sales +15%
4. Projected sales in 2015 1.27 million +16%
5. WingDepot sells over 10,000 wings a week
6. We now employ 15 full time employees (the most in our history)
7. On July 29, 2015 we were named #3 on the best wings in Jacksonville by the Jacksonville sun times
Now for some facts about the restaurant business:
1. About 25% of all new restaurants close within a year
2. About 45% of all restaurants close within 2 years
3. About 59% of all restaurants close within 3 years
WingDepot is a family restaurant. If you are obnoxious, rude or tend to use foul language WingDepot is not the place for you.
In regards to the video posted online:
In over 3 years at our present location we have not had 1 complaint about condensation from our ac vents. The group sitting at the table had already finished eating and cashed out at 9:03. At 9:12 they asked for the manager. My daughter then went to the table and they asked her if she was the manager then laughed at her. They informed her the ac vent was dripping. She apologized and offered to move them to a different table. They then started mocking and laughing at her. At this time she asked them to leave. As they escalated their taunting, I (Tommy) went to the table and asked them to exit my restaurant. One of the girls then told me "you don't know who I am" I replied, "no I don't nor do I care". They then started to disrespect the restaurant taunting us all the way out. We then went to our guest and apologized for the disruption caused by the group of young people. Every table we went to informed us that we have nothing to apologize for and was in disbelief at the actions of this group.
We will continue to provide a family friendly environment at WingDepot and look forward to serving the Arlington community for many more years. This will be our only response.

My whole family has been going to wing depot since they opened. And both of my parents have been in the restaurant business, my father opened three restaurants in Europe. One night me and about 8 other friends decided to go and watch the game and get some wings. As we were finishing our food the ceiling started leaking. We kept our cool, wasn't a huge deal. We then said something to a waitress about the issue, she was extremely rude and said we could've asked for a booth instead. After that we asked for a manager, when the 'manager' came out she was instantly rude. She basically told us that it was florida and we can sit in the heat if that's what we want. The owner came out and said he didn't appreciate how we were talking to them and KICKED US OUT telling us that we were no body and told us never to come back. The 'manager' who is only the manager because her father owns the place went on to make a Facebook post about she runs a 1.3 million business and how she knows everything about the restaurant business.. Well your 1.3 million business can clearly afford a decent AC unit that isn't dripping freon in our food and your costumer service skills are lacking.

Went to Wing Depot on University this evening. Have been going to Wing Depot for years. This is their second location on University, and previously they were located on Ft Caroline. As a general rule, their food is decent quality for the price, and their service, until tonight, has been excellent. This evening I decided to take my wife and her sister to dinner there. For the record, we are Caucasian, and in our late 50's and early 60's. We ordered drinks, like we always do, after being seated. I ordered a diet coke. My sister in law ordered a Bud Lite, and my wife ordered a V/O and diet coke. My wife said her drink tasted odd and asked me to taste it for her. Something was not right about the drink and she pointed that out to the wait staff. The drink tasted as though the glass was not properly rinsed or something and had a soapy taste to it. They offered a replacement drink and my wife elected to have a diet coke which was fine.. A short time later, an angry gentleman approached our table and said my wife must have a problem with her taste buds. He said that both he and the waitress had tasted the bad drink and to them it was fine; he said he wanted to know what our problem was. After a few exchanged words the gentleman told the waitress to comp our drinks and close our tab out; we were told to leave and advised our patronage was no longer desired. The loud, belligerent and abusive gentleman identified himself as Tommy Lodge, the owner of the establishment. I attempted to deescalate the situation by apologizing for any misunderstanding, he became more loud and abusive. I think this prompted other customers to get up and walk out. One customer asked my wife if everything was ok as we left. Not sure what was going on tonight, but the atmosphere certainly was not the warm, inviting one we have grown accustomed to. Tommy might need an adjustment to his medication. I do not think I will be going back to Wing Depot. When the owner of a restaurant for any reason thinks it is ok to treat regular customers as we were treated tonight, it is indicative of a greater problem. It is a terrible shame as you could not ask for a nicer, more pleasant hostess than his wife Terry.

We wanted a nice meat while watching the Superbowl. I placed my order by phone and everything was fine.
When I got there there were very busy because of the Superbowl started in an hour or so. As I was sitting there I heard the manager a male shouting to the back for a driver to deliver the wings. Shouting very loudly and rudely! "I NEED DRIVERS....NOW" !!!
When I got my order he handed it to me and I proceeded to check my order. He stopped me and said, "You don't need to check your order, this is NOT a Burger KIng!!!" So I said.....OK...and went home with my order.
Well guess what....I SHOULD HAVE CHECKED MY ORDER!!!! The 20 wings I ordered which were breaded, were so greasy it was coating the bottom of the container. Also when we checked to make sure there were 20 wings....guess what....THERE WERE ONLY 19!!!! Surprised that the cooks can't count to 20!!! It's not a very high number!!! The Breaded Okra I ordered was also extremely greasy in the bottom of the container. I ate most of it because it was NOT cheap. I paid $5.99 for a very small Styrofoam container. The Coconut Cream Pie was very good. It's really sad that the owner was so cocky and arrogant!!! If it had not been for driving 8 miles one way, I would have gone back for my $1 wing!!! I probably won't be going back. Kinda leaves a BAD TASTE in your mouth if you know what I mean!!!!

After reading over the reviews on this page it became very obvious that feelings appear mixed. However, the overall core suggests that customer service is controversial. On the other hand, while you have several comments suggesting that customer service and the food is great, it would be careless to ignore the claims of racism and negative customer service. Who knows how genuine any one persons comments are. However, we should acknowledge that it actually takes time, effort and energy to post a review, whether good or bad, on any establishment. In that sense, the negative posts I have read only serve to support my own review. The owner, who identified himself as "Tommy" is totally racist. After confronting him on his aggressive and negative attitude towards my wife, he simply said to me "You People are Ignorant". One could assert that "You People" could mean many things. However, when a white man uses that label directly towards a black man, he places himself totally and completely in the position to be called a racist in spite of the chance he maybe referring to some other stereotype. No consumer, black white, brown or otherwise should be subjected to any stereotyping, racism, discrimination or otherwise, especially if they are spending money which ultimately contributes to a businesses success. "Tommy" should not be in business in an area that includes "You People" if he is going to treat them indifferent. Ideally, he should relocate in an area where there is only "His People" if he is not happy serving "You People".

First, let me start by saying that I order from this restaurant regularly. I called today and ordered a tender wrap dipped in hot buffalo sauce with lettuce and tomato for delivery. Upon receiving my order I noticed that the tortilla was extremely soggy; however, I decided to try enjoy the wrap anyway. With the first bite I realized exactly why the tortilla was so soggy, the tomato was very old and soft, so soft that it was disintegrating all over the wrap. The tomato combined with the excess amount of buffalo sauce caused the meat to become mushy. I called to explain my dissatisfaction with the food, the girl who answered the phone first acted as if she couldn't understand what I was saying then said "I'll have someone call you back." When the owner finally called back she said she would mail me out a check for 6 dollars (my food was 8.49) and that we were no longer able to order from there! DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE! They are terrible business owners with even worse employees. On top of everything the food is not that good, I stopped ordering their wings because they were so bland. I continue to order from there because of the close proximity to my house. No more delivery or carryout for me, I'd rather spend my hard earned money somewhere it's appreciated!

I wouldnt suggest anyone eat here. I had been ordering here a few times and my experiences were ok. But this particular day i decided to treat myself and 6 of my coworkers to lunch. I explained that their wings were great. I gave everyone a menu and said to write down their order. I went to place order on the phone and explained to the owner that i was missing details on an order but still wanted to place the rest. The owner goes on this rant that i needed to call her back when i had the whole order. I told her that i would callback with the one order but wanted to get the rest of the order started. She said that she was super busy. I stated that i understood that and just wanted to place my order. By this time the owner is breathing deep on the phone. Rudely interupting me but instead of canceling my order i proceeded. Once i got off the phone i told one of my coworkers my experience, it trully had my blood boiling. I asked if he would ride with me to pick it up. When we got to the hole in the wall establishment my food came out and my coworker went to speak with the owners husband. My coworker tried to explain how rude the other owner was and the old guy snapped. He raised his voice and said "i was right next to her when she was taking the order, she did nothing wrong." The owner seemed as though he was ready to fight. His chest pumped up his face turned blood red. I decided after i had spent $80 in there that that would be my last time to this rude, disrespectful place. Overall i was disgusted the way i was treated. After reading the reviews these people need a rude awakening.

Where do I start.... I rarely write bad reviews because everyone has their days. But today this establishment deserves this. I have been running my parents' business for 15+ years and left from my establishment to enjoy some wings and beer. We live near Wing Depot so it was convenient. My boyfriend wanted two flavors of wings and asked if that is possible to have 5 of each flavor. They both went back and forth on the options of wings, and then the order was placed. Instead 10 wings of each flavor came out to the table, which is too much. He didn't care if she charged him, or even cared if he had to eat that much. He just wanted to know if he had accidentally placed the wrong order for her to put that much wings on his plate. So he asked for the waitress. She responds, "I know what you said, I've been here for 10 years and never made a mistake, AND TO TOP IT OFF with a ATTITUDE- next time you order you have to be clear." EXCUSE Me!!! Was that necessary. My boyfriend and I are both business owners and we were very upset. We asked to speak to the owners and she responds with, "I'm the the owner, my parents and I own this place." So we requested to speak to her parents, the blonde curly glasses daughter of the establishment said, "she's busy". If I ever spoke that way running my parents' business, we would not have a continuing striving business of 15+ years. Never again will we return. On top of that, DO YOU THINK you are the ONLY wing joint in town? Best wishes, with that attitude... You'll need it.

I can not shout enough times how awful and rude this place is! The young lady who states loudly she is the owner's daughter really need someone to whip her ass the old fashion way. Very rude to customers and ask you boldly not to come back if you make a complaint. The wings are horrible and the chicken smell bad. If I wasn't afraid of going to jail I would have given her that old fashion treatment. Don't waste your time or money!

We started visiting Wing Depot shortly after they moved to their current location. The food is decent for what you pay, but overall the customer service is not very good. After learning of several incidents of the owner and staff being flat out disrespectful to patrons we no longer dine here. Very unfortunate as it is one of the few close dining options for us, but we cannot in good conscience give them our business. Bad enough that we dissuade friends from patronizing.

I called to place an order for delivery. Have ordered numerous times - I mentioned to the owner who was taking my order that the last time I got a burger it was so over cooked that it was dry and had no flavor. I explained to him that this was the first time this has happened considering the numerous times we have ordeer from this establishment. I asked him if he would please make sure that it was cooked right this time. He argued with me that this is the way they come. He was so rude that I hung up on him. They have lost another customer. Do not eat here they have no professionalism or concern for their patrons.

MY FAMILY AND I WENT TO WING DEPOT ON THURSDAY JANUARY 24 2013. WE WERE TREATED LIKE CRAP. ALL TOGETHER WE ORDERED AROUND 100 WING INCLUDING SIDED AND DRINKS. MY AUNT DID NOT LIKE HER $1.99 COLESLAW AND SIMPLY WANTED AN EXCHANGE. THE WAITRESS AND THE OWNER CAME TO THE TABLE TO SAY WHEN THE FOOD COMES TO THE TABLE YOU HAVE TO PAY RATHER IF YOU LIKE IT OR NOT.HE THEN STATED WERE CALLING THE POLICE BEFORE MY AUNT COULD EVEN RESPOND. HE CALLED US GHETTO BLACK PEOPLE FOR WE RESPECTFULLY TRIED TO EXPLAIN THE PROBLEM. WE HAD NO INTENTIONS ON NOT PAYING OUR BILL BUT HE CALLED THE POLICE ANYWAY AND ORDERED US OUT OF THE BUILDING. I HAD MY SMALL CHILDREN WITH ME AND HAVE NEVER BEEN SO EMBARRASSED IN MY LIFE. MY CHILDREN HAD TO WITNESS SOMEONE CALLING THE POLICE ON THERE PARENTS FOR NOTHING. THIS IS A IMAGE I CAN NOT ERASE. PLEASE DON'T EAT HERE THE OWNER IS A PIECE OF TRASH. BEYOND BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!

I returned my wings because they were over-cooked and hard as heck. The young lady behind the bar came over and said that I could get boneless wings if I wanted because the traditional are cooked like that. I chose not to get the boneless wings and told her to just take it off of the bill. She gets upset and states "you either cook them too hard or not enough, you just can't please nobody!" I stated to the young lady very politely "You could if they were cooked right." When I got the bill, instead of taking the meal off as requested, she took the wings off and charged me for the corn that came with the wings and a ranch dressing. So instead of getting ugly, I sent the bill back for correction. I then walked up to the female owner to explain my dissatisfaction with the food and service....needless to say, the young lady behind the bar was the owner's daughter and she gets her nasty azz attitude from her racist father and the mother is the doormat they both use to wipe their feet on because he wouldn't let her listen to me explain a thing ..... Don't bother wasting your time or money in this place! I certainly won't waste mine anymore!
